Yuina has been in Petalburg City for a couple of weeks now and lives with Avi her roommate in their flat a couple of blocks away from a small museum, where Avi is a curator. Avi was gracious enough to give Yuina a place to stay, and eventually call “home” when she found Yuina unconscious at the edge of the city. Yuina had no IDs on her, some strange Pokeballs that looked handmade, and a weird set of clothes like she had just been on a theatre stage or something. Yuina woke up when Avi made sure she was still breathing, but recalled nothing about where she was, where she came from, what she was doing, all she knew was her name and her Pokemon. Avi feared the worst, that Yuina had been a victim of something terrible that had made her lose her memory, so they visited a doctor’s office and the police to make sure that nothing serious had happened, but through it all, they couldn’t come up with anything that told them how she got to the edge of the city or where she was supposed to be, and Yuina couldn’t remember anything.

To this day, Avi has been kind and generous and Yuina has been making a home for herself in Petalburg City, learning how to exist again after loosing her memory and now helping out with bills and such after Avi helped Yuina apply for a position at the Museum. It seemed only fitting after she showed such innate knowledge on some of the exhibits, and since then, that’s been her life.

Her memory was lost when Yuina got caught in a space-time rift and was brought through time/space to the past for a little while and then back to the present. Yuina's perception of things and sense of self has been completely altered and she has no recollection of who she was before the space/time rift or what happened during, she only recalled a name for herself, and ended up in the Hoenn Region with a handful of Pokemon that she recognized.
