[attr="class","body"] The recently acquired spinda tumbling ahead of Lam was a hopeful addition to his gym rotation. She was a cute little thing, wobbly as she was. Route 119 continued to be his practice location of choice, and Daisy seemed to enjoy the area.[break][break]
The little bear tottered along, twisty steps taking her into a bush before she flopped onto her belly and then pushed herself up again—peeking for anything she might find along the way.

[attr="class","body"] a cacturne lurked near a lone tree, still and ominous like a scarecrow waiting to go unnoticed before leaping into action. Lam pointed at it, calling for the spinda to direct her. “Alright Daisy! Show that prickly pear whatcha got! Wind up!”[break][break]

The spinda coos, then teeters forward. Her steps zigzagged as she took a winding path toward the cacturne—that was okay, though. She still stuck the landing. A dizzy punch to its spiny body sent the plant Pokémon hurtling backward, knocked off its feet.

See that one over there?” Lam points to a chikorita ready to hurl RAZOR LEAVES their way. “Let’s keep our distance this time.” As foliage hurls through the air at slicing speed, Daisy turns with a huff before firing off a PSYBEAM to discombobulate the little plant Pokémon.

"Don't lose your momentum, Daze!" Lam commands next, the point of his finger swiveling toward a pansage that swings down onto the scene from a nearby tree. "Use it to carry through into your next attack." The spinda listens, surging past the fading remnants of her psybeam to cut through the grass toward the monkey. Her teetering steps carry around the lash of a VINE WHIP as she lands a SUCKER PUNCH on her opponent.[break][break]

Too focused on scooping up and praising the spinda, Lam lets the poor little pansage retreat, uncaught.
