"Of course Mr Executive, I don't bring anything but my A-game on a hunt like this~" While Tempest was taking this deadly serious, it seemed on a surface level that Xenon was doing anything but as locks her fingers behind her head and takes on a relaxed posture. But looks can be deceiving. Anyone who knew anything about this woman understood that Paradox Pokemon, or as she termed them "Ultramodern Paradoxes", were her number one priority within her field of research. One could even go so far as to say that she wouldn't even be in Rocket if she wasn't given the appropriate resources for pursuing the beasts of the future, something that both Cillian Quinn and Gerald Kaiser could testify to in their limited interactions with the woman.

So even if she might seem like she's not paying attention as she walks into the dream mist, the simple fact that Rhodium was already floating behind her, the lights adorning its body softly humming as it stands on full alert for any kind of threat or indication that one of its brethren lurks in the shadows, was proof enough that she was taking this deadly seriously. As she said, she would bring nothing less than her absolute best when it came to finding the future she was so obsessed with.

The light of Illumina energy reveals the path forwards, parting the pink fog like a blade as they walk step by step forwards into the Interdream. The dull sounds of everything begin to sharpen and focus as they reach their destination, what was once an endless possibility condenses into a singular moment as they step out of the mists and onto a wooden deck, harsh rains pounding down upon them as battle rages all around.

A less observant soul would assume they had been transported out into the oceans near the island where the League waged war against Team Rocket trying to breach the beaches, Xenon could immediately spot the very out of place pirate flag fluttering above, a mechanical moth flying nearby as swords clash against one another in a scene straight from a high seas fantasy novel.

"Argh." Xenon dully states as she reaches out and pushes away a pirate that was about to back up into her, lancing him straight into an oncoming sword and illiciting a victorious cry from another pirate before he too is impaled from behind by the first's crewmate. "Rhodium, clear the deck." With a mechanical beep of affirmation the Iron Jugulis steps out in front of the duo, whipping up a massive hurricane as it angles its anti grav propellers forwards and sweeping every pirate up and away from them to give them room to properly battle. "The floor is yours captain. Give us a high seas adventure to remember aye?"

The music of bloody screams sings true in her ears as the imaginary sailors splash into the stormy seas, ravenous sharks and piranhas tearing the poor bastards limb from limb whilst she prances across the deck, body swaying in time with the violent ocean tides as though a concerto was playing solely for her. The song hardly even has time to begin though before Tempest finishes his job in record time, the chime of a Pokeball cutting the music short and bringing Xenon back to "reality" as more Paradox Pokemon begin to skulk in from the shadows.

But these ones brooked no interest from her. Where she sought metal and circuitry, these primitive beasts boasted only flesh and blood, relics of the past that only annoyed her as they crept forwards with a hungry look in their eyes. The girl snarls as Rhodium floats up behind her and glares at the swarm with crimson LEDs, six lights flaring brightly and eliciting just a hint of fear from the oncoming horde before they reassert themselves and begin crawling forwards once more. "These ones aren't cute at all like yours. Lets kill em."

It's almost as if they could understand her words as the dam finally buckles, a progenitor of Volcarona screeching as it sweeps forwards at her only to be rebuffed by a burst of flame from the dragon's maws, lighting its fuzzy mane up and sending it into a frenzy as it drops to the ground and rolls around in sheer agony. "Come on then, who else wants some!?" Xenon screams as the swarm comes rushing in, triplet streams of fire sweeping across them all as Xenon releases her silver Metagross who immediately starts hammering away at the primeval beasts with swinging arms of ice and thunder.

"Tch, I'll kill as many as I want, I'm the one running these damn experiments in the first place." Xenon clicks her tongue as Chromium's Meteor Mash crushes a primeval Jigglypuff into pretty pink paste, a second arm tearing the head from a mossy mushroom and throwing it like a frisbee at an approaching ghost and slicing the specter in two.

But they weren't the important ones, they weren't what she was looking for. Out with the old and in with the new, metal hits metal with a clang and the girl's irritated demeanor flips as she spots the true Ultramodern Paradoxes she was looking for. She lets out a little giggle of delight as she spins an empty Pokeball from her belt and into her hand, a Bullet Punch rocks into a iron dinosaur's jaw and staggers the beast, a split second after the light container bounces off its temple and captures the robot for Xenon as the rocking Pokeball slides back to her foot with the sway of the ship. "Yes yes yes~ Another Ultramodern beauty mine for the taking, another step closer to the ideal~" She sings as Rhodium lifts its heads over her own and torches a set of oncoming puffballs, their squeaky screams pair so well with the crackling fire as she twists around and hugs the body of the Iron Jugulis with an uncharacteristic tenderness. "Only the ones like that one matter, those who live in steel flesh, those whose breath carries the spark of plasma, only they interest me~ If you want to indulge in your past then that's your decision, but don't drag me into that kind of senile weakness."

"And you're doing a fine enough job catching them, so don't try and tell me to hold back when I'm having fun!" She shoots back with a hint of venom, a manic smile present on her visage as she utterly decimates every single Paradox of the past that dared to catch her eye. As for whether or not Xenon had ever seen him in the labs well... to be entirely honest, it's a matter of debate if the girl even considers others as people unless she has a direct need for them in the moment.

Ah, but in the end the slaughter could only last for so long, every game has its conclusion no matter how she might wish it otherwise. Bodies litter the deck of the ship, Pokeballs scattered amongst the viscera that the two would need to spend some time picking up for their own respective research. Speaking of though. "You said you were running experiments too right? A comparison of notes would be optimal for my research, it would be ignorant to bury myself in solely my own opinion. I look forward to performing a dissection of some of these with you in the near future." Was that how she asked to do a joint research project? No, she didn't ask about these kinds of things. She asserted a fact about the future and made it into reality, regardless of how others might feel about it.

Xenon's eyes snap back into focus as she faces the storm once more, it was too soon to assume they were done just because the deck was clear. The skies held dangers far greater. It might as well be a cloud of metal and meat as dozens of Iron Jugulis and Roaring Moons descend from the thunderous skies, some fought against one another with claw and fang, others were simply bombarding the ship in mindless rage. But the few that mattered knew to keep their eyes on the two humans on board and their Pokemon. Anything surrounded by that many bodies was a far bigger problem than their puny bodies belied.
