Sometimes, finding a wild pokemon was a pain. It wasn't as though all of them were keen on sticking around in one place once you found them, after all. Sometimes, they were moving as if a fire had been lit under their rear!

A prime example of this would be a wild Poochyena that emerged from the bushes - ears swiveling, and nose twitching. And, Makoto's interest was piqued enough to try coming a little closer... But, as soon as it saw the group, the Poochyena would bolt almost as quickly as it showed up - disappearing into the undergrowth.

Oh well, Makoto sighed. Perhaps the next one, then?

On the other hand, sometimes there were wild pokemon you didn’t want to find. Usually it was because that pokemon was particularly dangerous… But sometimes, it was for another reason entirely.

Such as, perhaps, the fact that you could smell it before you saw it. The Grimer that came into view was giving off a putrid stench that had Makoto covering their nose, and Tsukiko whining.

Neither of them were interested in getting close and personal with this pokemon, nor the baths that they’d need afterwards. So, they were both equally quick to move on – heading for another part of the woods.

A liepard – a covetous feline who desires everything that gleams, from jewels to tinsel. Beautiful, graceful, and composed… Though it was likely no secret to those who knew them by now that they had a fondness for vulpine pokemon, they also had a distinct appreciation for feline pokemon as well.

This tom appeared quite fleet on his feet, if the way he moved was of any indication. And, perhaps, more than a little interested in picking a fight!

However, as the liepard charged forward, he would be met with a surprise in the form of Tsukiko’s Springtide Storm..!

Left dazed and stumbling, there wasn’t much the liepard could do as Makoto threw a pokeball at him.
