"Maybe the wires," a feminine voice says over the sound of shuffling items and papers. All of a sudden the screen flickers to life and Nenet flashes a shining smile at the camera as it finally begins to stream.

"Welcome to the Mossdeep Observatory's Poipole egg hatching stream," greets Nenet to the host of followers currently watching the channel. The image turns fuzzy for a moment as the camera is adjusted to focus on the little purple and pink egg that's swaddled carefully and placed beneath a heat lamp for good measure.

"We don't know exactly when this egg will hatch, but the stream will be up 24 hours a day until it does! I'll be answering questions for the first half-hour or so, so let's get to it." Reading through the flood of questions that spam the chat, Nenet picks out a few of the more thoughtful asks and begins her back and forth with the audience.

Answering the gamut of basic job questions to physics and maths to more in depth explanations about certain pokemon's biologies, Nenet seems wholly at home on the camera as she teaches. Eventually she says her goodbyes and disappears off the screen. A low soundtrack of jazz fills the silence of the audio.

The process repeats for two nights, when in the wee hours of dawn Nenet bolts from her work station and into her office; cracks line the Poipole egg, and a glimpse of the chat shows the audience going wild with excitement.

"Hello everyone," greets Nenet's low and warm voice as she settles into a chair, becoming visible on the livestream once more. "I'm glad you're all here to witness the hatching with me. As far as I know this is the first publicly available recording of an Ultra Beast hatching, so we're all witnessing a bit of history together."

The cracks in the egg continue to grow and the chat once more explodes to the point Nenet decides to ignore it; it's moving too fast now for any human to try and read. Instead she murmurs warmly to the egg, "You're almost there, just a few more pushes."

Perhaps in response to the encouragement, tone, or just plain readiness, the cracks deepen and within minutes the little Poipole bursts from its shell; instead of pink and purple, the white and gold Ultra Beast is in stark contrast to most of its kind. Nenet beams wildly, and with careful movements reaches out to lightly take one of the Poipole's hands into her own as she greets, "Hello baby. Welcome to Hoenn."

The Poipole pipes a noise in return, its wide eyes and unaware of the ambassador role it will soon be taking. As Poipole smiles, Nenet begins to address the stream once more to explain the measurements she begins to take and other pertinent information she will be recording about the newly hatched Ultra Beast to further the region's scientific understanding.
