Anahel sat on the edge of the beach, just far enough to where the ocean met her toes.[break][break]
Surskit, danced on top of the water. His tiny little splashes glittered in the sunlight, painting a beautiful scene that could only be described as pure joy.[break][break]
Over on the side, there was a woman having a conversation with a pokèmon.[break][break]
The girl hoped they wouldn't take them being alone as an excuse to strike up a conversation. Better yet, she hoped they didn't even notice her.

Sierra strolled along the beach, camera in hand, capturing the picturesque scenery of the coastline. The rhythmic sound of the waves and the distant cries of Pokemon created a soothing backdrop for her work. As she scanned the area, Sierra noticed Anahel lying on the sand, seemingly lost in the tranquility of the moment.[break][break]
"Hmm, looks like someone's having a peaceful time," Sierra mused, adjusting her hat.[break][break]
Just as Sierra admired the scene, her attention was abruptly diverted. A massive Gyarados emerged from the water near the spot where the Surskit was happily playing. The peaceful atmosphere shattered, and Sierra's instincts kicked in.[break][break]
"Whoa! That's not good," Sierra exclaimed, immediately reaching for the Poke Balls at her waist. Without hesitation, she selected one and tossed it into the air, summoning her powerful Hydreigon.[break][break]
"Hydreigon, we've got a situation! That Gyarados is too close to that little Surskit. We need to intervene," Sierra commanded urgently.
Hydreigon, always ready for a challenge, roared in response. Its three heads swiveled, locking onto the threat posed by the Gyarados. Sierra's heart raced as she assessed the situation. She needed to act quickly to protect the smaller Pokemon.[break][break]
"Gyarados, you're not ruining anyone's day today!" Sierra declared, pointing dramatically at the imposing Water-type.[break][break]
Hydreigon lunged forward, its jaws wide open, ready to unleash a Crunch on the Gyarados. However, the Gyarados wasn't about to back down. It countered with a vigorous Flail, throwing Hydreigon off balance. Sierra gritted her teeth, determined to keep the situation under control.
"Hydreigon, shake it off! Use Dragon Pulse!" Sierra commanded, her voice unwavering.[break][break]
Hydreigon responded with a powerful blast of energy, striking the Gyarados head-on. The Water-type roared in pain, momentarily disoriented by the attack. It seemed to consider retreating, turning away from the beach.[break][break]
"Not so fast! We can't let it get away and cause more trouble," Sierra declared, grabbing a Poke Ball from her belt.[break][break]
With precise aim, she hurled the Poke Ball towards the weakened Gyarados. The ball snapped shut, and a tense moment followed as it wobbled on the sand.[break][break]

There it was. It was only a matter of time. The curse continues.[break][break]
A Gyarados appeared from the water, knocking the poor Surskit away.[break][break]
Anahel stood up, ready to fend off the ferocious pokèmon, but then looked over to see a blonde woman jumping into action. It was in her best interest to avoid fighting, or showing her other pokèmon, as a civilian. So, she decided to let them handle it.[break][break]
The battle turned into a spectacle as the two exchanged blows. The dragon pokèmon's attack caused a large splash of water that landed on Ana.[break][break]
Now completely drenched, the girl sighed. Least, the commotion was over with.[break][break]
The woman threw a pokèball at the Gyarados, as Surskit crawled back to Anahel with tears in its eyes.[break][break]
"It's okay," she said softly while picking him up.

Sierra watched as the Gyarados was successfully captured, relief washing over her. She turned her attention to Anahel, who stood there, drenched from the splash caused by the battle. Sierra couldn't help but feel a twinge of guilt for the unintended consequence.[break][break]
"Hey there! Sorry about the splash," Sierra called out, approaching with a friendly smile. "It's not every day a Gyarados decides to crash the party, you know?"[break][break]

"By the way, I'm Sierra, a Pokemon news reporter. This is Hydreigon." She gestured to the three-headed dragon Pokemon beside her, who let out a low growl of acknowledgment. "And this is Goomy." Goomy shrilled with joy as it's gooey form wiggled back and forth in greeting.[break][break]

The tranquility of the beach was disrupted once again. This time, the disturbance emerged from the water, and a majestic Kingdra emerged, drawn by the residual energy of the recent Gyarados battle.[break][break]
Sierra turned around, her eyes widening at the sight of the imposing Water and Dragon-type Pokemon. "Well, it seems like the beach is becoming quite the hotspot today."[break][break]
Goomy, perched on Sierra's shoulder, seemed to take offense at the Kingdra's intrusion. It gurgled determinedly, hopping down and waddling in front of the Surskit protectively. Sierra watched as Goomy, usually a small and meek Pokemon, puffed itself up with newfound courage.[break][break]
"Goomy, Dragon Pulse on that Kingdra! Let's show it we're not to be messed with," Sierra commanded, impressed by Goomy's sudden assertiveness.[break][break]
With a determined gleam in its eyes, Goomy unleashed a focused burst of energy from its tiny body. The Dragon Pulse streaked toward the Kingdra, striking it with surprising force. The Kingdra roared in response, clearly feeling the impact.

"Oh, uhh..." Anahel tried her best at a cheerful tone. "Oh my gosh, thank you!" [break][break]
The girl reached for Sierra, grabbing her hands in a gesture of gratitude. "I don't know what I would've done if you didn't show up." She would have killed it without hesitation. "That Gyarados... It was so scary..." That would have been her dinner tonight. "Thank you, thank you!" She could not believe the words coming out of her mouth.[break][break]
Surskit, who had jumped back on the ground, scurried towards Goomy. They smiled and waved at the tiny slug.[break][break]
"Anahel, Anahel Sune." The girl said in reply to Sierra's introduction. "And this is Surskit."[break][break]
It was then when the wild Kingdra made itself known. With Sierra's back now turned, Anahel made an annoyed face. She really was going to have to keep this up, wasn't she?[break][break]
Sierra attacked the water dragon, greatly weakening it with Goomy's type effective move.[break][break]
Surskit, following his new friend's lead, jumped into action.[break][break]
"Surskit, no!" She prayed her pokèmon was wise enough to finish this quickly.[break][break]
The bug fired off Sticky Web, tangling the dragon in a make shift net, before delivering an onslaught of Quick Attacks.[break][break]
With the Kingdra now in a daze, the girl figured catching it was her best bet to end this mess and go home. [break][break]
Anahel covered her face in an attempt to look afraid, but really it was to hide their crippling embarrassment.[break][break]

Reaching into her bag, she grabbed and threw at pokèball. [break][break]

Sierra couldn't help but be caught off guard by Anahel's effusive gratitude. The girl practically beamed with appreciation, grabbing Sierra's hands and expressing her thanks in an earnest manner. Sierra grinned, feeling a warmth in her chest at the genuine connection forged through the shared encounters with powerful Pokemon. What a good feeling this was.[break][break]

"You're welcome! No need to worry, that's what Pokemon trainers are here for. We look out for each other and our Pokemon," Sierra said, squeezing Anahel's hands reassuringly.[break][break]

As Surskit and Goomy shared a moment of camaraderie, Sierra noticed a subtle change in the atmosphere. The sparks in the tall grass nearby caught her attention, and her eyes gleamed with excitement.[break][break]

"Hmm, what do we have here?" Sierra muttered to herself, her reporter instincts kicking in.[break][break]

She quickly recalled Hydreigon and sent the three-headed dragon Pokemon towards the source of the sparks. The tall grass rustled, and Sierra's heart skipped a beat with anticipation. Could it be the elusive Dracozolt she had been hoping for?[break][break]

To her disappointment, a sleek and electric Pokemon emerged from the grass, revealing itself to be a Jolteon. Sierra's excitement dimmed slightly, but she couldn't resist the opportunity for another thrilling encounter.[break][break]

"Hydreigon, let's do this! Use Dragon Pulse on that Jolteon!" Sierra commanded, determined to make the most of the situation.[break][break]

The battle unfolded, sparks and energy filling the air as Hydreigon and Jolteon clashed. Sierra, undeterred by the unexpected turn of events, strategized and directed Hydreigon's moves. The Jolteon, agile and electric, put up a spirited fight.[break][break]

Sierra's eyes gleamed with determination. "Alright, time to wrap this up! Hydreigon, finish it with a Dragon Pulse!"[break][break]

The Dragon Pulse struck the Jolteon, weakening it significantly. Sierra seized the opportunity, grabbing a Poke Ball from her belt and launching it towards the electric Pokemon.[break][break]

The ball engulfed the Jolteon in a flash of light, and Sierra held her breath, hoping for a successful capture. [break][break]

Regardless of the result, she would return to Anahel. "Your Surskit was really cool out there. Kingdra is a really good pokemon to have as well. I am glad you were able to catch it!"[break][break]

Anahel's eyes shined with watery, appreciation as Sierra squeezed her hands back.[break][break]
"You are so kind," she said trying not to bite her tongue.[break][break]
The prolonged touching started to make the girl uncomfortable, but luckily the Kingdra gave her a good excuse to pull away.[break][break]
It wasn't long after this that another pokèmon appeared. A Jolteon that Sierra seemed eager to catch.[break][break]
Perfect. This was Anahel's chance to make her escape. She began to slowly back away from the battle enthused reporter, before signaling Surskit that it was time to go.[break][break]
Surskit was upset to say good-bye to their new friend.[break][break]
However, the battle was over before it even started. Just as the girl went to turn and make her exit, Sierra finished with the Jolteon and directed their attention back to her.[break][break]
Damn it.[break][break]
Ana jumped back, making an awkward face. "Oh, uhhh. Yeah. I have no idea where he learned to fight like that..." She turned to the bug pokèmon before continuing. "Surskit, don't go jumping into a battle like that again. You scared me."[break][break]
Surskit made an extremely confused head turn at his trainer.[break][break]
"Kingdra? Yeah, but I have no idea when what I'm going to do with them..."[break][break]
Keeping up this weak, and innocent facade was getting tiring...
