"thank you, thank you! i hope that was a fun match to watch for everyone!" he speaks into the mic attached to his ear, bowing and waving goodbye before disappearing back into the halls of the weather gym.

he ends up in his office—if one could call it that considering the casualness of the furniture—only to be notified of a visitor.

he pauses.

Whether it be a monday or a friday, a saturday or a sunday, Penelope's schedule was strangled with meetings ranging from typical alignment with ollie morales to war preparation with Greyson Connors and the other elite four members. And, if it wasn't that, then it was the HBIC. The media. Interviews. Everything and anything to keep her body from resting.

Penelope knew it was wrong. From the very marrow of her bones, to the most basic rational within her mind, in no way was abandoning the point of her visit to grab coffee with her ex a good idea.
