Step 1: Exposition

Born into the humble Livy family, Penelope's parents always expected great things from their first child. Straight A's, top grades in all her sports, top test scores - this was the standard set for her. Unfortunately for both her parents and Penelope, these standards were rarely met. She wanted the room to fail, to grow, and to change, not to become some robotic daughter for her parents to control. And so, upon turning 18, she left and never looked back. "They have lia," she convinced herself, "they don't need me."

Step 2: Rising Action

Despite her suffering grades, there was always one class Penelope did remarkably well in: English. It was the one interest she held throughout all of schooling. She never understood why the subject held her interest so firmly -- maybe it was it's fundamental principal of freedom and expression? Maybe it was because it was easy for her? It didn't matter, either way, she was just happy to have found a passion worth cherishing.

Step 3: Climax

Upon graduation, Penelope instantly moved out to attend Lumiose University and obtained a bachelor's in journalism. It was difficult, as it was necessary for her to maintain two jobs just to pay the bills, but she made it work. During this time she made countless friends, the most notable being her freshmen roommate Evelyn. The two became inseparable during their time together, going to bars and clubs side by side, while also attending the same lectures whenever their classes lined up. These times came to a curt ending when Eve was found dead, two days before her birthday.

Investigations turned up nothing, and the police eventually declared it as a 'unfortunate accident'. But Penelope doesn't buy that, or any other story they have to spin to cover their asses - deep down, she is sure of what killed her best friend that night: negligence. So, with nothing but passion in her stomach, the woman went crazy trying to prove these theories, but no one wanted help, nor report on it. "It's nothing new," They would sigh.

Step 4: Falling Action

Hoenn Broadcasting Station inc, a television news broadcasting company that works to keep the people of Hoenn informed. As one of the largest television companies within the region, they were Penelope's first choice by a wide margin. And, through time and hard work, she achieved an internship that eventually grew into a full time position a year later. Passion, diligence, and intelligence have aided her climb up the ladder, eventually landing her where she is today: chief reporter and partner of the company.
