Having taken some measure of revenge against Tempest Quinn, Thomas continued to roam the skies above the battleground. The ex-Elite Four was out for blood today. Midir, the Roaring Moon, was quite satisfied with drawing the blood of the Rocket on the metallic bug. Despite this, they wanted more.

Despite the loss of their little Emolga friend, the Salamence and Staraptor followed the Roaring Moon closely.

"Show no mercy!", Thomas called out to the group.

"So you're one of 'those' types, huh?" There had been someone making a nuisance of themselves, and it turned out it was one of those guys who "showed no mercy". The League was full of 'characters', that was for sure…[break][break]

"Well, it doesn't really matter. I'll knock you out of the sky either way." Alba didn't waste too much time on preamble as he approached his target on the back of his Braviary, launching a Whirlwind towards him and his Pokémon. 'Show no mercy', right?

"Damn right!", Thomas barked back.

As the Whirlwind came barreling towards the group, the Staraptor flew ahead of the Roaring Moon. Hurriedly flapping his wings, the Staraptor unleashed a Whirlwind of his own, sending it colliding with the opposing Whirlwind, in order to cancel it out.

Thomas and Midir attempted to close in on the Braviary, tail reared back for a vicious Breaking Swipe.

"Ganging up on me, huh? How cruel…" Braviary soared above the Roaring Moon's attack, glowing with stored power as it prepared a Sky Attack. Grabbing a Poké Ball from his belt, the masked man sent out his Togetic.[break][break]

"Ancient Power!" An eye for an eye, right? Rocks forged out of nothing flew forth to belt the League agent's own mount.

"Cruelty is my middle name. Especially with scum like you!", Thomas growled at the masked man.

Thomas' eyes narrowed in irritation as the man dodged above his attack. The Staraptor in his company noticed the Braviary glowing with power, readying itself for a Sky Attack.

The Roaring Moon reared itself to take the full brunt of the Ancient Power, acting as a shield for its master. The ancient dragon growled in pain, as the rocks pelted it. Once it was over, the Roaring Moon charged the Togetic, attempting to smash the fairy with an Iron Head.

The Roaring Moon slammed into Togetic, causing it to cry out in pain. Repositioning itself, it wagged its finger like a Metronome, before suddenly charging towards its attacker as it called forth Return. At the same time, Braviary unleashed its Sky Attack, Alba ducking down and clinging tight to its feathers as it dived towards Staraptor.

The Roaring Moon took the Return, giving the small fairy a look of irritation, more than anything. In retaliation, the beast once again slammed into the fairy with an Iron Head.

The Staraptor attempted to meet the charge of the Braviary with a Brave Bird of his own. Unfortunately, the Sky Attack got to the Staraptor first. Upon impact, the Staraptor fell out of the sky, before plummeting into the waters below. With a violent splash, the Staraptor sank into the water, before floating up to the surface, drifting aimlessly.

Thomas watched as the fallen Togetic was recalled back to its Pokeball. At least the Rocket managed to save the creature, unlike him. Though he'd hope the Staraptor would make it, somehow washing ashore to be saved, a part of him knew how grim the prognosis was. The Sky Attack the bird took was particularly nasty.

As the Braviary went in for a Brave Bird, the Salamence flew in front of the attack. The dragon let out a cry of pain, before beginning to plummet from the skies as well. Thomas quickly recalled the dragon back to its Pokeball, intent on saving his friend from the same fate as the Emolga and Staraptor lost today.

Midir called down a Rock Slide on the Braviary and Rocket. Whether or not it connected, the Interdream Mist flowing in, and the Iron Moth flying towards the battlefield, was a sign that Thomas had to get out of there quickly.

No doubt the Rocket would do the same.

"Shit—" The Rock Slide descended on him and Braviary, bludgeoning the Flying-type Pokémon and stunning it as it got its bearings back. At least it could still stay airborne, even if it had taken a solid hit or two. Unfortunately, by the time the pair had recovered, their target had escaped— No, wait, there he was. The real issue at hand was the pastel mist slowly rolling in… and the beasts born from dreams that were beginning to appear.[break][break]

"Next time, then…" Alba muttered to himself, before making his escape; he wasn't really in a fit state to take on the newcomers. At least he'd helped hinder that thorn in their side.
