The most important lesson Ava Rosewood has learned so far is that there are no easy answers in life. One needs to blaze one’s own trail – anyone who promises you otherwise is trying to manipulate you. This life philosophy has led some critics to paint her as brash and even moralistic, but she’s never been one to conform to outside opinion.[break][break]
Ava Rosewood was taught early on that everyone was expected to play a predetermined role in life – and she’s always chafed against said expectations. And while her parents and other authority figures sometimes disapproved, her peers readily accepted her outgoing, outspoken nature. [break][break]
Even as a child, Ava was known as something of a tomboy who liked Pokémon battles over fashion and contests. Which meant that receiving a Pokémon of her own was always a matter of when, not if. Much to everyone’s surprise, she managed to evolve her Hisuian Sneasel into a Sneasler relatively early. This event led her to pursue a career in the Pokémon League, to pursue her passion in a productive way. [break][break]
In her adolescence, she gained further popularity by playing on her high school’s volleyball team. Despite her reputation, Ava tried her best not to let her popularity get to her head – she was always the first to reach out to the less popular schoolmates in her circle. She continued this trend of physical activity during her college stay, when she decided to join the martial arts club. [break][break]
Ava started working for the League fresh out of college. In her spare time, she went on dates and flings with various men. One of these men was a man named Dunstan Keye, who she’d met in college – they reconnected early in her career and decided to get together. [break][break]
Dunstan was an aspiring musician who wanted to be famous someday as the lead singer of a rock band. They were both drawn to each other’s magnetic personalities, and after about a year and a half of dating, they decided to get married. A year after that, they welcomed their son Joshua into the world. [break][break]
But early on into their marriage, Dunstan started to grow somewhat reticent given his new responsibilities. He quit his job to start going to gigs full-time, to mixed success; more importantly, though, he’d lost his steady income and was spending less and less time with his family. Ava realized quickly that there was a difference between pursuing one’s passion and avoiding responsibility…and after one argument too many, they decided to call it quits. Ava was awarded custody of their son.[break][break]
After her divorce, Ava reverted to her maiden name and started throwing herself into her work in earnest. Sadly, she doesn’t have much time for dates between work and caring for her son. She’s sure that eventually, though, someone will come along…
