For the first time in months, the lights at the CALCIFET ESTATE had been switched on.[break][break]

It stood as a regal beacon of shelter and class amidst the withering vineyard that surrounded it. Frankly, Remiel Calcifet was surprised it hadn't been destroyed sometime over the past year. He supposed, much like the CALCIFET DRACIARY a few miles away, TEAM ROCKET had assumed it was under LEAGUE supervision now and stayed away to avoid unnecessary conflict or losses.[break][break]

But the MAN following him didn't seem to care.

Tired of running, Remiel leaves those lights on as an invitation— even going as far as to take a seat by the front patio table with a bottle of whiskey in one hand and a pair of glasses in the other. His MURKROW watches from a nearby lamppost as he calmly opens the bottle, pouring out a drink for two. Just as he's finished, however, MUNNIN caws.[break][break]

Remiel sighs.

"You used to be more subtle, Delarosa," He remarks, addressing the figure emerging from the shadows with sharp blue eyes. "Was I not worth the sniper's bullet?" Though the timing might have been close, the LIGHTNING STILETTO crackling in a hidden place nearby had been his insurance. "Or are you here to share a drink with me?"[break][break]

He walks up behind Remiel, if he had wanted to strike already he could've but he hadn't. In fact in all aspects of Byran's personality it was extremely strange that he didn't. Even he was unsure as to why he didn't.[break][break]

"As much as I love drinking, don't think I can risk with you. Don't wanna feel the breeze through my stomach again." he states as he still remembers the stench of burning flesh in his nostrils as he begins to move his fingers behind his back and plant life starts to slowly crawl through the concrete of the estate.

Remiel raises a brow at the self-praising comment. Bryan had always maintained a good figure. He supposed something akin to a sculpture of a Draconid god of antiquity. But this level of arrogance? It was new.[break][break]

Though, at the very least, he seemed to have still some degree of caution. Nevertheless, Remiel chuckles as he looks up at the man. "Don't mistake me for Elisabeth Fiorelli — if I'm going to settle things with you, I wouldn't use such a cheap trick. Poisons are a coward's game."[break][break]

As he brings his glass to his lips, the exiled prince notes the creeping vine and subtle cracking of the stone-paved platform around him. Unlike their battle during the recent League-Rocket conflict, he did not have an advantage here. Besides knowing the surrounding terrain better, anyway.[break][break]

After taking a sip, he sets his glass down and cuts the silence once more. "So? Straight to business or shall we talk for a moment?"[break][break]

There could, very well, be reinforcements in the shadows. He wouldn't put it past a few ROCKET operatives to disable or infiltrate the defenses in place. But he knew the kind of man bryan delarosa was. Especially in his current state, the BEAST was all the more predictable.[break][break]

Nevertheless, Remiel is surprised to find he's struck a nerve so early. Eyes narrow at the admission of his former ally's true thoughts. Though the man might physically seem as formidable and unyielding as ever, the royal saw the cracks in his psyche splitting open like a gaping wound in his soul. And, admittedly, it softens the sharpness of his expression.[break][break]

"You're not a stupid man," The EX-ADMIN starts with a sigh, delicately lifting his glass of whiskey from the table with two fingers. "Just a stubborn one." He takes a sip of his libation then, gathering his thoughts as its lingering burn slowly dissipates down his throat.[break][break]

"Is it so hard to understand that I didn't leave TEAM ROCKET because of you? You were my brother. I loved you more than my own blood. But I refused to use that love to justify what TEAM ROCKET was becoming. You see, that's what declan walsh does, Bryan: twisting our bonds and our camaraderie into something that serves him. But most of you are either too blind to see it or refuse to admit the truth."[break][break]

He sets his glass down again, its reflective surface catching the nearby firelight as the Murkrow above crows. "By leaving, I was honoring what we had," Remiel adds. "I was keeping it unsullied by separating it from the poison that ROCKET has become today. But that doesn't have to mean our bond is completely severed. There is still time to cross over and fight the good fight: if only you open yourself to the possibility."[break][break]

Bryan's eyes widened for a moment as if a clarity came over his mind. [break][break]
He extends a hand out towards Remmy as if reaching to grab him in a gentle embrace before he takes a moment and speaks. "Black Briar." he orders as Xerneas begins to surge with energy, black briar thorns soon engulf the area, attacking everything around the two of them. The glass that remiel set down shattering as Bryan redirects the thorns away from himself. [break][break]

As the vines and roots began to engulf the are around them and form a dome trapping everyone inside, Bryan laugh's a bit to himself. "You're right, I am stubborn. Thank you for showing me the error in my judgement, Remiel." he says as his voice grows disheartened "So, to the new us then. This is what your IDEALS get you the TRUTH is that jayden cross and declan walsh saved me from that hellish bumpkin nowhere town of littleroot." he replies [break][break]

"And with them I'll burn it to the ground and rebuild it in rocket's image. You wont be able to stop me. Geomancy." as xerneas begins to go into ACTIVE MODE and starts to channel the energy of the earth into it's body to surge with life.

Even as part of his large estate is damaged, shattering windows and splintering walls, the AVATAR keeps his gaze fixed on his aggressor. His Murkrow, on the other hand, caws frantically as it takes flight to avoid the thorns.[break][break]

"Was LITTLEROOT so terrible for you that you'd make a mountain out of such a molehill?" The crown prince inquires, raising a skeptical brow. "If pulling you out of the countryside was all it took to gain your undying loyalty, Bryan, your self-respect is clearly in shambles." He adds with a sharp glare, breaking it briefly to acknowledge the surge of GEOMANCY building up.[break][break]

"Before you start, tell me one last thing: how do you justify it all? What kind of IDEAL WORLD do you want to see come from all this murder, deception, and exploitation of innocent people?" In the end, it would only end one way.[break][break]

Remiel winces as Bryan starts his tirade. The implications of neglect and abuse were not something he'd heard about when he'd still been a part of TEAM ROCKET. He knew, of course, that most people in the organization did not come from healthy and supportive homes. But bryan delarosa never seemed to care to share the details of his, and Remiel Calcifet had always respected his privacy.[break][break]

Had Bryan known that, if he'd needed a shoulder or talk about that sort of thing, Remiel was there for him? Had he meant much to him at all? It was a cruel joke to hear it here finally: when the two were separated by the clashing IDEOLOGIES of their factions. The instinct to comfort and console was a weakness the royal felt compelled to kill.[break][break]

"Your IDEAL WORLD is flawed and shortsighted! While I understand your compulsion for revenge, what lies beyond it?! These grudges will only carry you so—" His argument comes to an abrupt stop as soon as he spots XERNEAS wading out from the fog with glowing antlers.[break][break]

Just before the MOONBLAST disintegrates him, however, the AVATAR disappears. In the wake of that blast, which had completely decimated all of the furniture on his patio, Remiel Calcifet reappears on the rooftop of his estate with the full moon framing him. His MURKROW perches itself on his shoulder as he glares down at the LIFE Pokémon and its crazed patron with glowing eyes.[break][break]

From the dark clouds above, ZEKROM slowly descends, cloaked in crackling electricity.[break][break]

"Or what? We could do something interesting." he says as Bryan had a thought, he was a hard head but that didn't make him stupid. He knew this flashy display would attract others but that was to put pressure on remmiel and himself. "How many of them do you think I can kill before you can stop me? Wouldn't that be fun? An ugly truth to fight your righteous ideals."[break][break]

He grins as Xerneas prepares another moon blast towards Remiel's zekrom as he states the ugly truth "I'm gonna always haunt you now, a wolf stalking it's prey and the best part? no matter what you do-" he says as he grins wickedly and the moon blast fires directly, destroyed anything in it's path. [break][break]

" I cant be stopped, I wont be stopped. This ends with your death. In every shadow, in every whisper that goes on around you remmy. I'll always be there. Watching, waiting to strike you down."

Electricity crackles throughout his body as Bryan speaks: a warning and a preparation for combat as the situation intensifies. The LIFE Pokémon and the BLACK YIN had never met in combat before. Meanwhile, as the two AVATARS spoke, their patrons embodied their clashing ideologies with violence. A MOONBLAST cuts through the night air, obliterating a portion of the estate before attempting to strike ZEKROM. The dragon braces itself with a SPIKY SHIELD, however, enduring the blast before cutting through the smoke with a BOLT STRIKE.[break][break]

"I've killed you once before and I can do it again, Bryan: as many times as I need to before XERNEAS is convinced of your fall from grace." Remiel declares, his eyes now filled with a bright blue light as the power within reaches its crescendo. "You are unworthy of its light. A half-witted BEAST in the truest sense of the word."[break][break]

Another irredeemable soul for his IDEAL WORLD.[break][break]

"Remain here and meet your end."
