Wandering through the Safari Zone with her Skeledirge once more at her side, Nenet walks just a touch closer to the flaming pokemon for warmth. The cold air gusts around her, and she wishes not for the first time she had brought her scarf instead of leaving it at home. Regardless, she continues through the preserve on her hunt for expanding her available pokemon.

Crunching frost and the sizzle of fire meeting cold grass fills the air as the pair begin their hunt.

A Delibird waddles down the way and Nenet and Skeledirge pause on the path to let the pokemon pass. Instead, the Delibird stops before the woman and reaches into his sack adorned with tinsel to pull out a present - he presents a Safari ball.

Nenet looks on with mirth and takes the pro-offered gift. In a flash of light the Delibird disappears into the pokeball, and Nenet observes her apparent gift pensively.

"Well," she muses. "Alright." Beside her Skeledirge snorts grumpily.

Despite the warmth generated by her Skeledirge, the cold of the day is nearly enough to drive Nenet back home to the comforts of her apartment. Unfortunately there were pokemon active that she wanted during the season, and thus she trudged forwards towards the earth-bound twinkle of a star in the distance.

Her curiosity is swiftly rewarded with the reveal of a Staryu, its ruby gem flashing in the pale winter sunlight. Pulling a Safari Ball from her pack, she instructs her Skeledirge to attack and then tosses the pokeball to capture the Staryu.

Decked like a miniature holiday tree with tinsel and candles, looking like something from an old-fashioned magazine from over one hundred years ago, Nenet stumbles upon a green-leafed Burmy. She admires the decorated pokemon for a time, wondering briefly who had the patience to do such a thing and whether it actually belonged to someone else and ran away.

The next pokemon Nenet encounters is a Galarian Darumaka who seems to be hoarding a pile of snowballs like a miserly little scrooge. Its reason for doing so is soon revealed when a second Darumaka launches a snowball of its own from behind a stump, and the two begin a fierce battle.

Nenet laughs softly as she watches the skirmish, her hand moving to idly give Skeledirge a comforting pat on the head. After a few minutes she moves on down the way in search of final goals for the park.

Neither rain, nor snow, nor sleet, nor hail would keep the postman - in this case Nenet - from her self-appointed goal of finding a Lapras. Well, that wasn't entirely true. If it started to do any of those things she was calling the search immediately.

But it was fun to think.

Thankfully, however, she comes across a pond in the Safari Zone where a Lapras splashes about. She thinks better of sending Skeledirge to battle, and instead reaches in her pack and pulls out a pokemon treat while standing on the bank.

"Would you like to come with me," she asks the Lapras pleasantly.
