You're supposed to leave for basic training in less than three weeks, and you haven't even enlisted. There's only one thing you can think to do and that's simply run away. That's what you do. Like all your problems, you run from them like a coward.

But there's one thing you can always run to in times of stress and that's music. You laugh bitterly as you restring your guitar. Dad cut the strings on it because he insisted you didn't need to involve yourself with the "schlocky propaganda" that was the music industry. But music is what helps you earn enough money to afford a little place tucked away in Kalos. Who figured that it'd be the best place to run off to? And who knew how easy it was to just up and change your name?

The military has never been ideal, you never wanted to hurt people. And maybe that's why you decided instead, you'd do what you could to help people. The job of a Ranger suited you nicely.

It seemed like a straightforward job, but in the end, what did it prove? So many people had lost something precious, whether it be loved ones, partner pokemon, or even their own lives. In the end, their loss meant the safety of the region.
