merlyn could smell the salty sea in the breeze that played with his hair. the sun was shining, warm to the skin in the ever growing cold weather. merlyn just arrived in hoenn and he wanted to enjoy himself for awhile. he was already in lilycove, he might as well spend a good time at the beach.

with the cheery smile that he wears wherever he goes. he greeted a man behind a stall. he thought that it would be nice to have something to snack on while he roamed around. nothing like a treat. "i think i'll just get a hot dog," he said after ruminating over the menu. the worker quickly prepared him a nice juicy hot dog between soft buns and mustard and ketchup on top. "Thanks!" He smiled as he passed over some money for the hot dog.

The hot dog was still warm in hand, and it smelled delicious. Merlyn walked by a street that overlooked the beach and the ocean. He took a bite and flavors danced on his taste buds. "Mmm," he moaned, happy with the hot dog and enjoyed the moment to himself. But unfortunately, it would soon change as there were other creatures who desires the juicy hot dog.

A warmer day in Lilycove was a welcome thing, in Lam's opinion. The winter had been uncharacteristically cold, so to have the sun out with a seeming vengeance was great. Enough so that the gym leader decided to actually step out for his lunch break, rather than holing up in his office with a space heater...as he'd done for the better part of the winter.[break][break]
His shinx scampered alongside him, also happy for the chance to stretch his legs as they ambled down the boardwalk. Lam even tossed the lil guy one of his nacho chips as he polished off the carton he'd been munching on. "Let's head down to the beach, hm?" This earned him a mrrp! of agreement and so off they went.[break][break]
It wasn't long before he spotted a figure nearby - not an uncommon thing, given the beach's popularity. But the nearby hovering of a few wingull on a lifeguard seat not too far away made him frown. Their beady eyes followed the happily unaware man, wings rustling pre-emptively as if they were planning. Scheming.[break][break]
"Hey!" his hands cupped around his mouth to call out before jogging over. "You have admirers." He pointed back at the greedy flock, who didn't seem at all deterred by the added reinforcement of Lam's presence.
