It was a familiar scenario all over again—they were back.[break][break]

Wasn’t the last he was out here enough to drive them away?[break][break]

Apparently not![break][break]

Who knew that Mareanie had an insatiable hunger for Corsola—and so they were back at square one. But this time—Alexei had a companion he was sure that would be able to take care of all of this in one fell swoop easily.[break][break]

After landing in front of the little town’s Pokémon Center and healing up his team, he heads back out and sees he’s not alone—there’s someone waiting for him, this was the contact he was to assist today?[break][break]

“I’m Alexei, and luckily, I’ve handled a similar situation like this before. Do you have an Electric-type on you Or a Steel-type even,” he says in response, taking the hand and giving it a nice, firm shake.[break][break]

Oh no, long hair—he looks kinda pretty with it, too, he thinks to himself a few moments later, before slapping himself mentally to get his mind out of the gutter![break][break]

He could hear the gnashing noises bubbling out from underwater—a sign that they had to get the fuck going.[break][break]

“Hope you don’t mind going out a bit to head them off,” and with that he summons his Lapras, who lands with a splash in the water. Alarmed that he’s going to be facing off against the Mareanie again, Alexei sighs.[break][break]

“Marius, look, I know you’ve had them nip at you before. Don’t worry, I have Niya this time, and he’s ready to repel them back,” he reassures the dual-type, before getting on the Lapras’ back.[break][break]

“You coming?”

The man spoke fast, but the horde moved faster, Lien struggling to keep up with the pace that he was suddenly forced to be accustomed to.

He took a step onto the back of the water type, the Eevee hopping onto Lien before he did.

“Can we opt for a more pacifistic route if possible, Mr. Alexei?”

The young man grabbed hold of whatever he could to not fall off the Lapras before they began moving.

At the mention of ‘pacifist’, his mind did a double-take. Okay, wait—what?[break][break]

How in the hell are we going to manage this? Those Mareanie are merciless and will attack on sight… he thought to himself, brow furrowed. While he did have his Flying-types, he was hoping to be able to put a stop to the invasion by scaring the hell out of the Mareanie with a single Thunderbolt into the water.[break][break]

But obviously there was a little problem here—the fact that they were also on the water and that they were going to get hit by an indirect line of fire.[break][break]

So that threw things into a little more perspective.[break][break]

“Can your Psychic-type use Telekinesis?” he asks presently as they lurched forward, the Lapras extremely apprehensive on the approach as some of the Mareanie were floating on the surf, deliberately taunting the Corsola underneath.[break][break]

“I have an idea, but it would involve your Psychic-type and if they can levitate things out of the water,” he says, hands on the Eelektross’ Pokéball as they headed out a little further away from the town, hoping to draw away the horde from the recovering Corsola.

Lien peers off to the side of the Lapras, eyeing the Mareanie not too far off from themselves then readjust himself to properly hold onto Alexei.

“I have a Musharna and she knows Psychic. She can lift heavy things with it too.”

It honestly surprised him when Lien found out how strong his pokemon truly were, impractical things seeming more and more practical with each passing day.

“I’m sure whatever you have in mind can be done… Just give her the details”

A bit of rummaging and he would eventually find her ball, the pokemon being sent out with a purple flash, clouds of the same type welcoming the psychic to the sea.

She floated over the ocean idly, awaiting any suggestions Alexei threw her way.
