A valiant effort on his part, thinking that if he yells out the name of a move it would in fact work, but unfortunately he was just a boy, and in fact not a pokemon.

He’s almost startled as another approaches, Lien- once lost in thought- forced to turn and make the acquaintance of another.

The boy, seemingly younger than himself spoke highly about his own abilities, Lien forced to take a step away from the situation as to better let him get a grasp on what literally lie before them.

“I came to try and get this one to move, but with you here, I’m sure it’ll be up in no time. I’ve only heard good things about cadets up until now, so I’m sure I can take your word for this.”

A lie- told in a cheery yet gentle tone- to boost the boy’s ego; hopefully for the better.

If there was anyone who didn’t understand it was her, the Eevee- usually a welcoming presence to those around her- denied her services in quite a shocking way. This was a complete and utter defeat, the first she’s ever had in fact.

But she held back her tears as best as she could, biting her lip as the Gardevoir finished his explanation; and held her head high.

“O-okay.”

She semi-sniffles out.

“That’s fine, I-I understand.”

She turns away from the two so when the tears inevitably do fall, they would not be seen.

“I see that my services are not needed, so I’ll just go find another client.”

A hard feat to accomplish when you are comparable to the Budew you once tried to make a client.

Lien peers off to the side of the Lapras, eyeing the Mareanie not too far off from themselves then readjust himself to properly hold onto Alexei.

It honestly surprised him when Lien found out how strong his pokemon truly were, impractical things seeming more and more practical with each passing day.

“I’m sure whatever you have in mind can be done… Just give her the details”

A bit of rummaging and he would eventually find her ball, the pokemon being sent out with a purple flash, clouds of the same type welcoming the psychic to the sea.

She floated over the ocean idly, awaiting any suggestions Alexei threw her way.

Hearing the sound of another approaching would force Lien to turn, the Eevee atop his head clinging on to both temples tightly, the momentum almost sending the pokemon flying off.

It was a relief to see that the one behind was in fact, not a ghost, a sigh sounding as he readjusted the Eevee atop of his head.

He was sudden, and unrelenting in his words, Lien forced to keep up with yet another man beside himself. He had to take everything he said in to the T, focusing on every word the man expelled, and quietly, he would watch.

His attentiveness would peak as he finished, looking over to the Fraxture with an awkward smile, the dragon giving a glare to the man.

“...If you think I can do that, I guess I’ll try.”
[break][break]
Slowly, Lien would edge his way over to the pokemon, a hand raised out to the dragon as non-threateningly as possible.

He was truly a novice when it came to handling pokemon, afraid of all the what ifs that would occur when it came down to it. But a pleasant surprise was had when the Fraxture willingly met its head to Lien’s hand, the rough scales of the pokemon rubbing against his skin as it moved Liens hand down towards its jaw.

Lien would look back at Mateo with a smile, a look of, ‘I did it!’ on his face as he begun scritching the dragon.

“W-what now? Is it gonna use Dragon Breath now? Should I stand back or something?”

The man spoke fast, but the horde moved faster, Lien struggling to keep up with the pace that he was suddenly forced to be accustomed to.

He took a step onto the back of the water type, the Eevee hopping onto Lien before he did.

“Can we opt for a more pacifistic route if possible, Mr. Alexei?”

The young man grabbed hold of whatever he could to not fall off the Lapras before they began moving.

He listened as the dragon tamer spoke, lips pursed tightly as he gave a very vivid explanation for why teaching this pokemon was a move of fallacy.

When he released a pokemon, Lien was a bit taken aback, not because it was sudden or anything, it was a much simpler reason. The pokemon was so fluffy. He had never seen an Altaria up close before and it was a bit jarring, almost causing him to lose the attention the man had commanded.

“Ah, uhm. No, I’m not a dragon tamer, I’m hardly even a pokemon tamer. My name is Lien Rose and I just thought I’d help out however I could. Sorry for being so inexperienced, Mr. Mateo, but thank you nonetheless for helping out the help.”

He’d chuckle, moving to the side, standing at an observers pace, still ready to jump in when necessary.

Well, rambunctious certainly was the word to describe him, the man’s mouth moving a mile a minute, even tripping over words- hardly making sense with a few. But he seemed more than ready to assist, and he already had called him to help.

He lead him over to the Fraxure, the dragon sitting with its arms crossed and an even more annoyed expression on its face.

“I’m supposed to teach it how to use…”

He pauses, taking out a notecard he had written instructions down on.
[break][break]
“Dragon Breath.”
[break][break]
He drops his arm to the side, card still in hand.

“I don’t know how to use Dragon Breath. How am I supposed to teach this child how to use it?”

She squints, half a mind to tell the Gardevoir, 'you don't know me.' but she holds off, professionalism overriding pettyness.

Choosing to ignore the Gardevoir's words, she would introduce herself, bowing to the Budew with a smile.

"Tatl Rose at your service. My job is to provide comfort to the uncomfortable, and you look exactly like you need my services. Would you be interested in hiring me?"

She sat on her hind legs awaiting an answer from the Budew, shooting a quick look off to the side at the Gardevoir before returning her gaze back to the grass type.
