Eddie cracks his neck as he approaches the younger man, a snappy crunch as he tilts his head from one side and to the other. Why does this guy look familiar? Maybe he's seen his face somewhere back in Rustboro? He can't quite put his finger on it, but it's not something worth considering at the moment. All Eddie cares about is having a fun fight, [break][break]

“Cool with me! Hope you're ready to battle without any fancy tricks to pull outta your sleeve,” Eddie replies, as if he knows what the hell a Sygna Suit is. He prefers battling the old fashioned way anyway, “I'm Eddie; nice to meet ya!” [break][break]

With that, Beau steps forward, stomping and snorting excitedly. Eddie finds himself taking something of a fighting stance himself, hands balling into fists, legs spaced a little apart, knees just barely bent. He catches himself beaming at the thought of the battle to come.

Eddie was not expecting the frog to be able to do fucking ninjutsu. He makes a mental note to figure out if that's a trick he can teach his other Pokemon as he quickly assesses the situation. [break][break]

Beau bellows angrily at the barrage of multitudinous frogs, getting WORKED UP into a frenzy. Eddie shouts a command, [break][break]

“Beau, take 'em out quick!” [break][break]

The Paldean Tauros charges forward with an AQUA JET, slamming through one clone, then drifting into a skidding turn to slam into another, and another. Eddie can only hope that his Tauros can move fast enough to take out the duplicates before they can do him in. [break][break]

it must be a pain to battle against cian so he does not envy Eduardo Hisakawa. if anything, he has sympathy for the man.[break][break]

one by one, tauros' AQUA JET takes out copy after copy, but it has yet to find the real one which reveals itself with the way its LICK wraps around tauros, holding it in place before it uses its tongue as a sling to propel itself close to slam into it with a TAKE DOWN.[break][break]

Now the kid's just fucking with him. He hates to admit that it's getting under his skin, but Eddie feels his fists clench as he watches the Froakie ensnare Beau with a precision LICK, [break][break]

“Beau!” he roars as he watches the frog slam into the bull, “You gotta brute force your way outta there!” [break][break]

The Tauros bellows in pain as the Froakie knocks the wind out of him. Beau begins to thrash violently in the Froakie's grip, a RAGING BULL bucking and bounding for as much space as he can make for himself. And if he manages to land a blow on the little frog in the process, then that's just icing on the cake. [break][break]

he looks on in awe at how froakie seems to be commanding the flow of the battle in such a way that makes cian seem like a veteran when in reality he just knows how to play to his pokemon's strengths. froakie is silly and dumb, just like cian, so he lets it follow its instincts most of the time.[break][break]

"you almost got it! hold on for dear life!"[break][break]

bracing through tauros' RAGING BULL, froakie attempts to do a cool move and spiral through the air only to land on the back of tauros before letting loose a HYDRO PUMP.[break][break]

Beau seems to be losing steam, his bucking and fighting losing it's oomph as the Froakie spirals through the air. He's weary enough that he almost doesn't seem to notice the frog land on his back, gearing up for a potentially devastating HYDRO PUMP, [break][break]

“You can't give up now, buddy!” Eddie bellows to his Pokemon, “C'mon Beau, I know you can pull through!” [break][break]

The cheering works to embolden the Tauros enough to attempt one more buck of the Froakie off of his back. If he manages to send the Pokemon sailing, his hooves are ready to catch him in a bone-shattering DOUBLE KICK. And if not, then this battle is probably over.[break][break]
