She lifted a hand in greeting to her opponent, though her focus was on her Valiant. She swiped the pad of one red-gloved thumb with her tongue and rubbed away a smudge on the Paradox Pokemon's otherwise gleaming chassis.

She once again had to resist slapping the Valiant on the ass, baseball coach style, instead sticking her hands in her pockets.

From the outset Noel knew this would be a tough battle. Having faced one of these machinations before, it gave him a great amount of trouble in his last excursion against its kind. But if he could deal with it once, he could deal with it again. Returning the greeting to the other challenger, he would wave his hand back and give off a friendly smile.[break][break]

"Well met, don't think I've seen you around before. Let's have a friendly match and give it our all."[break][break]

With that said he sends out his Shaymin out onto the arena, the both of them raring to go for battle as the little Pokemon shows a courageous face against its blade-wielding foe.

Everyone seemed to be at least a little bit in awe of Rose… like the general populace shared one huge Iron Valiant trauma. Luckily, her brain was thoroughly scrubbed clean of whatever context in which Rose had joined her team.

She flashes the blue-haired kid double thumbs up.

“Hell yeah, lets-- oh my GOD it’s a little hedgepig. Look at it. It’s so cute.”

She’s allowed to feel things now. She wasn’t before.

Rose’s shoulders slump forward, very obviously embarrassed by her trainer, before wrapping one hand behind her back and extending the other in a graceful en garde pose. Then she’s off in a blink, swinging upwards with a leaf blade aimed to flick the little Shaymin away.

The Iron Valiant moves at a blinding speed, so fast that Noel's Shaymin is unable to react when its suddenly face to face with the robot. A swift strike of their sword sends the little Pokemon flying away, spiraling out of control. Balancing itself and getting its head back into the game, it counteracts with multiple Energy Balls aimed against Gallade look-alike before planting its feet on the ground and continuing the assault.[break][break]

"That's one fast Pokemon you've got there. Even I couldn't see its movements, but let's see how you handle this!"[break][break]

The hedgehog’s body does full RPMs in the air; little lights fly off of it, coalescing into bigger lights, which then zip right at Rose.

Rose attempts to duck and weave around the energy balls to zip ‘round to the other side of the Shaymin and volleyball knock it back with another leaf blade.

The machine was just much too quick for Noel's Pokemon to keep up. If their opponent was able to dodge every shot they had thrown at them with ease, then they were in for a much tougher fight than they thought. Much to its surprise, the Iron Valiant swiftly breaks through and closes the distance with a swift swipe of its blade against the small Shaymin. The hedgehog is promptly knocked backwards with bruises now on its body.[break][break]

"Hmm... Not bad... I definitely didn't expect such a tough fight already... but it's not over yet!"[break][break]

Angered at the fact it was already put on the back foot, the Shaymin decides to place much of its energy into its next attack. Suddenly the earth began to tremble under the robot's footing with it crumbling away and being replaced by an Earth Power. Spear-like constructs would jet out from underneath and hope to tear away at the metal coating.

Rose bends at the knees as her interior gyro-balancing sensors go haywire. The earth buckles and hunches, and she jumps from foot to foot to try and keep standing. Sharp spires of rock fire upward and glance off her chassis, denting and dirtying the white metal. One lands a lucky hit into the workings of her calf, the pressurized interior of her leg cavity bursting with a pop and a hiss.

To escape, she vaults high into the air, flipping at the top of the jump, and aims to come down on top of the Shaymin with a brutal spirit break.

The machine was much more acrobatic than its appearance led on. To be able to dodge around with such high speed only proved what a formidable foe they were. It was down to the wire now for Noel and his Shaymin. If they couldn't land the next hit in, it was over for them. Gritting his teeth in anxiety, he shouts out to his Pokemon one more command.[break][break]

"Give them all you've got Shaymin!"[break][break]

Nodding back to its trainer, the small hedgehog gets ready to unleash its next move. As the Iron Valiant slowly descended upon it, it would aim up high with the rival in its sight. Once ready, it would fire off a Solar Beam to knock it out of the skies. If luck was on their side, this would turn the tide of the battle for them.

The solar beam encompasses Rose completely and she disappears for a moment. When the blinding light clears and people can see again, the Valiant has almost taken a reset, back at the location she started.

She gives the Shaymin a little nod, recognizing that she’s been underestimating it, and fires off a moonblast at range.

It was now or never. The Iron Valiant's attack was coming straight for them and there was almost nothing they could do. One more hit and they were out of the picture. With but one final recourse for the pair, the hedgehog starts to radiate a green energy off its body, preparing itself to fire off a Seed Flare to hopefully alleviate some of the blow.[break][break]

The wavy projectiles fire off, one by one they strike at the ball of light, halting it for just a moment. But it wasn't enough, if they intended to destroy it completely, they would need a lot more firepower. Instead they change targets, aiming for the robot instead in hopes of causing some damage to their opponent as well if they were going to take the move head on.

Myriad projectiles zipped from the Shaymin, like heat-seeking missiles. They crashed with the moonblast, but failed to stop it, and the plasmatic, wobbling torpedo hit the Shaymin, as Rose dodged or deflected the remaining seed flares.

When the light died away, the Shayman lay defeated, and Rose bowed, her trainer fist-pumping the air.

“Holy shit, Roser, we did it!” she yelled, giddy. “Wow. Good show, lil guy.” She flashed finger guns in her opponents direction, and it was unclear whether or not she was talking to the blue-haired youth or his Pokemon.
