Sixth match. "Cian Maher..." That was a Gym Leader, if she wasn't mistaken...[break][break]

A small little cliffside arena sat for them, as Gordo was at the ready, and the green Sandshrew sped and shredded with a playful roll. The redhead prepared for the new person to arrive, and held a hand out in greeting. Her Dynamax showing itself.[break][break]

"Genevieve Cromwell. Call me Genny." She gives him a big sunny smile.[break][break]

"Gym Leader, right? I'll be challenging you myself real soon, so you better get ready for the appetizer!"[break][break]

Gordo the Sandshrew flexes, at the ready. Soon to be one big armadillo.

Gordo was perfectly ready to go too, and seeing how he seemed to perk up immediately towards the little Froakie, it only brightens Genny more seeing him go up towards the frog to shake hands. She brightens even more with the guy's smile too. Cian was charming![break][break]

"I love the energy! Good luck, Cian!" she's bright and bubbly, as she grabs at her Dynamax bracelet. "Don't get sad when I take the win, though!" Confident, or arrogance, or maybe even a little playful flirting, whichever it was, Gordo would disappear, appearing moments later as a massive armadillo.[break][break]

And the first move is made, once they're ready. "Rock!" Genny points at the sky, and with it, a barrage of rocks begins to come at the Froakie.[break][break]

Though Gordo made sure to pull his punches, as MAX ROCKFALL might be a little overkill...[break][break]

Genevieve Cromwell takes the early lead as MAX ROCKFALL is definitely overkill against the little froakie who is just trying their best to see in the SANDSTORM.[break][break]

In the mighty SANDSTORM, unbeknownst to Genny or Gordo, the duo watch a jetstream of water fire outwards in a HYDRO PUMP, thrust outwards and dead-onto Gordo, the redhead looking back to see Gordo taking the brunt of the strike.[break][break]

"Whoa..." she calls back, before turning her head back to the frog in the storm. "This is gonna be fun!"[break][break]

With a hand outwards, Genny calls out. "Quake!" It's the only command she knew it as, and with a MAX QUAKE, the Sandshrew blasts the arena below the Froakie, intent to knock them down and take back the lead.[break][break]

Man this battle was ROUGH. That big SMACK DOWN does more to Gordo than the Froakie, and the redhead can feel Gordo taking the rough end of it. These fights really were something.[break][break]

Not to mention, that insane optimism that Cian had only made Genny grin more. How the heck can someone match the sun with another equally bright sun? This weather was nothing. Nothing at all, and as Genny pumps a fist into the air, she calls back.[break][break]

"Good to hear! Here's one to remember us by then!"[break][break]

The last strike, the classic they had made in their three hit combo of DYNAMAX, was a MAX STEELSPIKE, the many little spikes on the ground shooting upwards to attack at the Froakie. The resilient little frog really was doing wonders.[break][break]

Genevieve Cromwell attempts to pull it back with an impressive MAX STEELSPIKE but froakie proves too slippery and evasive, managing to dodge the majority of the attack which would've brought it close to fainting.[break][break]

froakie is definitely feeling it as it tries to recover from the attack, swaying a bit as it remains standing.[break][break]

Even with the MAX STEELSPIKE, it matters little compared to the jetstream of HYDRO PUMP that flies through the air, and strikes a now shrinking Gordo, knocking him completely off his game, and now, tiny again, on his last legs.[break][break]

Gordo was practically getting stomped through this whole match, but now wasn't the time to surrender. Genny calls out, arm outstretched. "Slam'em with the spin dash, buddy!"[break][break]

Hopefully, they could keep it going. With one helluva running start, Gordo makes a SAND RUSH EMPOWERED ROLLOUT, to go as fast, and hit as hard, as he can.[break][break]

Wow. That Froakie sure was made of stern stuff. The redhead can feel herself staring, jaw dropping, as Gordo fell for the feint, only to get blasted away by a HYDRO PUMP, thrown back into ball shape, as it blasts the poor little armadillo into a wall... and with it.[break][break]

The match ended. Genny would return Gordo, quickly moving across the field, to make her way to Cian.[break][break]

"Guess I got my work cut out for me, huh?" Big, toothy grin, she holds her hand out towards Cian, to shake it and wish him well. "I look forward to the real battle with you, Mr. Maher!"[break][break]

So her record wasn't spotless. That was okay.
