The Absol follows the woman in walking along the path in Route 116. Since she could get a few more Pokemon to add to helping her herd her future flock of sheep Pokemon, she could imagine the many Wooloo and Mareep in one group. Odin pokes at a rock with his claws and he mews in boredom though the dark type Pokemon watches the leaves rustle in some trees. Her Absol was the strongest out of her team of Pokemon that joined her to Hoenn and he had been one of her work-ready Pokemon to do his job.[break][break]

When she sees the little green hills around the other side of the path, they remind her of her parents’ farm with the same little hills at the side of the wide open space for their Mareep and Wooloo.

In the little distance that the shepherd and her Absol traveled across the path, a wild Furret walks up to the pair in a curious way. Beady eyes of the mammalian Pokemon look over to the Absol first while Odin growls at the wild normal type. While the feline dark type Pokemon tries to pounce on the Furret with his claws ready for Night Slash, Odin is met with a Sucker Punch by his opponent.[break][break]

Moving back from the leap, the Absol tries again with Night Slashing at the Furret and he gets a pained cry from the Furret. While the normal type with the longer body goes to slam into the dark type with Double-Edge, Odin stood his ground with his clawed forelegs and he weakens the wild Pokemon with a Psycho Cut.[break][break]

Alice tosses a Pokeball that she takes out from her pack and throws it at the weakened Furret. Maybe that one would be good for helping to herd the other farm Pokemon that the other shepherds needed help with.
