"Good evening." The blonde man said politely as he sauntered into the stadium, taking up his end of the battlefield as his Corviknight descended from above.

It's red gaze bore into Raju, awaiting for her opponent.

"Shall we begin, young man?"

Raju was next, and stepped up. Some old dude huh...but one that had...a vastly different feel to him. A noble sort, but also not one to make enemies of. Not that he ever intended to. The short man gave his older opponent a polite bow. Then he threw a pokeball, releasing a large Paldean Blaze Breed Tauros. "Me and Big Bert are ready whenever you are, sir." A Corviknight...that was both bad and good. Steel type was weak to his fire type, but its flying type was strong against the fighting...this could be a very interesting match.

Gwyar nodded back, briefly appreciating the young man's politeness before sweeping his arm through the air.

"Then let's go. Lancelette!"

With a nod of her own, the Corviknight took to the air with a flap of her wings, kicking up a dust cloud as she rose high— before immediately diving down for the Tauros, seeking to get in the first blow.

The guy was receptive. Good. Now for the fun to begin. With a flap of its wings, the metal birb took the skies. Only to then dive back down to Big Bert. The bull's horns turned blazing red, the air turning wavey due the amount of heat they were giving off. Getting ready to jump, the Tauros waited patiently for the dive bombing bird to get close. Once it did, then the black Pokemon jumping, using a flaming Raging Bull up towards the knightly Pokemon. It was about this time Raju noticed that the Corviknight was a shiny. Huh...that was interesting. Raju waited with baited breath at how the first exchange was going to turn out.

The first exchange was a doozy, the clash sending shockwaves rippling across the arena as the two pokemon bounced off each other.

Lancelette cawed and hissed at her opponent in pain, her armor sizzling from the blazes of the clash, her wings flapping quickly to regain balance and altitude before she attempted yet another crash once again.

Her aura shimmered around her as she zoomed in towards the bull, taking in the form of a great blazing eagle.

TL;DR:
-Lancelette used Brave Bird.

The attacks seemed evenly matched, at first. But the metal bird's managed to break through and sent the big guy to the ground. While he didn't fall, he did slide a ways back, with a clear view of some black hair on his forehead missing. Seriously? First poison made his hair fall out, now it's getting plucked?! BB snarled a moo, and ran forward at full speed. Once again, his horns glowed red with Raging Bull. Raju hated using the same attack over and over again, but against a Brave Bird, he felt like he didn't have much of a choice. And he really couldn't fault his opponent either...they two Pokemon had super effective attacks for each other...it would be dumb if they didn't use them. Still, Raju was worried at the renewed anger that BB was showing...he hoped that his bull didn't go on a full rager...that would be annoying to deal with.

This time, their clash was to the bull's advantage, the arena briefly splintering from the widening shockwave before Lancelette was forced back.

Her armor was steaming inside out. While her earlier attack had been a precision blow, in and out— this one had been pure contest of strength, which brought her too close and personal with the Tauros' heat and muscle.

Shaking off the blow, the bird's aura surged, sending shadowy silhouettes of itself at the Tauros.

TL;DR:

The collision went in his favor this time. Big Bert still stumbled back though. It was still a hard hit, and frankly one he was surprised that BB handled it as well as he did. Tauros may be a bit of a tank, but Brave Bird was not a weak attack by any means. A strange aura surrounded the bird as it prepared for its next attack. Big Bert again closed the distance, this time with intent to deliever multiple strikes, a Close Combat. It may lower his defenses, but it was a very powerful attack. It may not be super effective, but maybe it would stop the birb in its tracks. They've been pretty evenly matched so far...but something had to give.

She managed to weave a few of the blows, attempting to lead her opponent while sending her shadows towards the bull... but there was no beating a land fighter in CQC.

Several blows hit their mark, denting her winged armor as she struggled to put down her opponent.

It was then that Gwyar raised his gauntlet in the air, the Z-crystal within it glowing like a star.

Knowing what it meant, Lancelette immediately flapped her wings, sending herself hurtling away from her opponent to prepare for the surge of power that came, a crimson aura rising around her before she launched high into the sky.

And swerved at the peak of her ascent to come flying straight down like a missile, attempting to crash into the bull for one big finishing move.

TL;DR:
-Lancelette used the Z-move:Supersonic Skystrike!

The Power Trip had more of an effect than the Close Combat did on the Corviknight. Even though Big Bert had managed to close the distance and pounded on that armor, the shadows hit BB all the way there. Then Gywar rose a gauntlet. Oh crap, was that another Z-crystal? The bird flew up with renewed vigor. BB's horns glowed red once again for Raging Bull. Then the birb dove bomb like a missile. This wasn't going to be good...he just hoped BB survived enough to hit the birb. Or the injuries wouldn't be too terrible.

The battle came to an end then, with Lancelette landing heavily besides Gwyar, her breath labored as he gently patted her neck.

"Well done." He said. "Get some rest."

Returning her to her pokeball, he turned to his opponent and marched to their side of the field, offering out his hand.

"Well fought. Thank you for the match, young man."
