Raju is originally from Unova, though moved to Paldea to live with his aunt after his abusive father evidently pissed off the wrong gang. While his dad did put up a good fight, Raju and his mother helped their assailent take down his old man via a baseball bat and a knife stab. Sadly, his father killed his mother. Living in Paldea was...boring in his mind. And he couldn't get the figure that freed him from his father out of his mind. Even if he knew it was because his old man either pissed him off or a hit got placed on him. Either one wouldn't surprise him. As soon as he could get out, he went back to Unova to do some investigating. He found out the Orthrus Gang was the one that offed his old man, and that they had a combination of legit businesses and illegal ones as well. Pretty typical of any gang. Though he also found out that the big wigs all moved to Hoenn to expand a bit. And so he went with his trio of Paldean Pokemon. [break][break]

He eventually found the city that they mostly operated from, Mauville. And the host club, that he initially walked into. Sadly, he didn't get much information, but later found a tip about an illegal fighting ring that they run. Raju, being an avid martial artist, decided to check it out and see if he could compete. He won both matches, surprising a lot of people because of his...small stature. He looked like a twink with a baby face, often having to show his ID several times. He weighed more than what you think due to his muscles, but you would never know it just from looking at him. Even shirtless. The main event was shortly afterward, where he witnessed ozias ambrose winning his fight rather quickly. The man was strong, and Raju respected and desired strength. But he couldn't just ask for a fight, right? [break] [break]

Either way, he needed a more stable job than winning a few matches at the fight club. Heck, he didn't even have a place to stay, just travelled on his scooter. Maybe the club would help with that...
