Raju had an interesting meeting scheduled. Someone from Dewford wanted to talk to him about something. The blond had been here for a while now, so he might have some idea. Still, he went ahead and took it. He had nothing to do that day, just his normal morning routine. Returning from it, and getting to the meeting spot, the black clad young man met a rather cute, if also relatively athletic, counterpart. Clad in athletic-wear. Huh. Also seemed like a college "kid" to him. Not that Raju looked much better really. The hazel eyed gym trainer was shorter than most, being only five foot six, at twenty-one years old. Though this guy...was also on the shorter end...maybe even shorter than Raju.

The guy seemed stiff though. Shrugging his shoulders, he motioned for the guy to follow him. First going to a cafe to get a nice cold drink after his workout, even pointed at the cashier as if to ask if the guy wanted anything. "Oh, I'm Raju." Better late than never in introductions. This was far his only notable spot for things to do. But it was the first step. After all, there was still the casino, race track, arcade, and more. Raju wasn't the most talkative of people...he was very much an actions speak louder than words type of person.

As soon as Shalin spoke, Finny moved in and used Protect to defend him and itself from the explosion. The blond's Gyarados got closer to the new hole in the ship, looking around for any threats, seeing the shine of the Protect. Knowing that Raju was safe, Typhon continued to patrol the area. Raju was not amused by the explosive going on. One good bit of news...the safe was fine. Just a dent in the bottom and some marks. Grabbing the safe, he started to swim up. "I'm fine. Finny knows Protect. Rocket best not be there when I arrive." He was going to punch the shit out of him. The former gang member told Finny to assist Typhon in securing the waters for now.

Upon reaching the surface, he saw the Rocket was still there. Taking off his gear and dropping the safe, he dangeriously approached the guy, who was starting to stutter. All it took was one punch to knock out a tooth and knock the guy out. Pity. Taking the safe and putting it upright, he handed it off to Shalin. Hopefully that scumbag will be picked up too. Either way, mission complete. If only he had more time with that Rocket...

4. Send a pokemon for recon. (Raju's Swampert doing recon.)
12. Ensure sufficient supplies for the mission. (all the equipment they need)

Shalin Nariya

Shalin complimented his work, and found him with one of the Rocket goons. She didn't like that they were there first. Just meant more excitement to him. She took the goon to the surface to get more information from him. Raju and Finny continued to explore the ship. They found more bodies, those that couldn't escape or got trapped. But so far it was quiet again. Too quiet. The blond soon found himself to the deepest part of the ship, the cargo hold. And yet, he still didn't see any strange lights or any other sign that the Rocket was in a team. This was very wierd to him. Sure, he was doing this by himself right now, but originally it was the two of them searching.

Finding a safe, it was a small thing. He almost missed it. This was worrying. No one around. Finny's guard was up as well. "Found the safe. Still no other signs of Rocket." Cautiously swimming towards it, he was about to grab the safe when he decided to check under it. Wires. That shouldn't be there. Looking underneath, he found it. A bomb. "Problem. Safe is booby-trapped. Orders?" Maybe that's why there was only the one Rocket. He was bait, to let them know that something was up. Or to make them rush and then blow them up and then take the safe. Raju was no bomb expert. And so he awaited orders from Shalin on the plan.

She didn't answer him. That was annoying. Hopefully that wasn't a sign of things to come. As they dove in, they found the ship quickly enough. Raju swam off of Typhon the Gyarados, and had one of the scariest fish around swim a patrol around the place. He heard the ranger on the coms. "Roger. Though we might want to avoid having to do that." Between angering anything inside and potentially damaging the safe, and its contents, brute force wasn't always the way to go. And that was coming from a brute force type of guy. Finny the Swampert and Raju tried to find a way in. Starting with the deck. Door was locked. Or barracaded. Going to the wheelhouse, that was unlocked. And there was a way in. Swimming through the hole, he passed by a dead body. Moving on, the blond found himself inside the ship proper.

"Found a way in. Wheelhouse." Raju and Finny cautiously swam forward, flashlights on. It was they passed an open door that Finny got attacked by a Tentacool. The duo wrestled away from Raju as he swung a fist at the Rocket trainer that exited shortly after, complete with their uniform. That...didn't do much. Underwater fighting was so much different than on the surface. They also started to wrestle around in the hallway, with Raju initially being on the backfoot. But the fighter soon showed his muscle and had the guy pinned against the wall at the floor. If one was already here...where were the others? Looking up, he noticed Finny had the Tentacool frozen on the "ceiling," and stuck. Still...he waited for Shalin to arrive.

She wasn't mad or anything. Awesome, she wasn't a stickler. Though the upcoming war was also quite...concerning. He thought they always were, just more...subtle. But then again, he was more observant in more localized areas. Miss Nariya went over the operation. About what he expected. Except for that last part. A...Pokemon that can help you breath underwater? "Like what?" He was really curious on this point, since he was pretty sure Empoleon wasn't one of those Pokemon either. Though it did remind him to take out his rebreather and the small oxygen tanks to replace every so often.

The blond hopped onto Typhon, his faster Pokemon. Finny was there as defense. Already knowing where the ship was, the Swampert moved ahead. Though soon enough, the ranger started the pace. Typhon didn't have any issues keeping up. Though Finny wasn't a racer, they were a fighter. Thankfully, they didn't have to punch out any Pokemon out of the way. But if Rocket had beaten them to it, it may be helpful...

The Manectric captured, Raju heard the lady in the distance yell at him. Raju turned and waved back. Samurai started to fight a little Poliwag. With a deadpan look at his Golisipod, the blond started to walk towards the lady, with Finny close by, still with some hand prints from paint on him. His buggy girl used Slash, and down the Poliwag went. Tossing a ball, the woman did the same to a Wartortle. Stopping, and waiting to see what she wanted, he soon found out. Raju nodded in response. "Great day for some training too." He pointed at Finny the Swampert, the handprints that were clearly Raju's on the Pokemon. Paint, easily washable.

The Swampert decided to use the opportunity to try to smack Raju. The blond dodged the attempt, putting another black hand print on the Pokemon's shoulder. As Finny pouted again, they had yet another interruption.

Having been furloughed, Raju decided to do various odd jobs to get by. Which also included helping the League with various stuff. Which was good, seeing as he was a gym trainer for one Josh Devlin. Sea Mauville was also close enough that he didn't have much in the way of traveling expenses. This particular job included working with a Ranger Captain to retrieve some stuff from the depths. The recent fighting had been brutal. Thankfully, Rocket hadn't tried anything on Mauville itself. But close by was another story. He was to help retrieve a safe from a fallen vessel. He had a good team of water type Pokemon that would make that relatively easy. Add in the ranger captain, and he was sure this was going to be a cake walk.

Sadly, he was running a little late no thanks to some morons who didn't know how to drive. On his scooter, the blonde got to the spot he was meeting the captain. Clad in swimming shoes, a form fitting swimming shirt, belt with six pokeballs on it, and trunks, all black, Raju bowed apologetically. "Sorry for being late. Traffic was...surprisingly heavy." It was a shock. Either way, he took out two of his pokeballs and tossed them, showing Finny the Swampert and Typhon the Gyarados, which was smaller than a normal one. "Ready whenever you are."

Some commotion caught both his and Finny's attention. The lady and her Gabite started battling a Dewott. If you could call that a battle and not a one-sided slaughter. A single attack, and boom a capture. He was about to start clappping in congratulations when he was hit from behind. A Manetric?! In fury, Finny smacked the electric type with an Ice Punch. Raju got up, holding his back. Looking at the aggressor, it was a huge one! Maybe not as large as Josh Devlin's, but still pretty close! He could ride that! Pointing at it, Finny charged in with a Rock Smash. The Manetric dodged it, and bit into Finny's arm with Bite. But that only earned it a second Ice Punch, which also froze it.

It was then that Raju threw his own Pokeball at a prize. Well, that was one good addition to the racing team!

When he turned right into a flashlight and a gun in his face. Not that it bothered him, Raju was well into striking range. That said, the guy backed off with an apology. Brownie still looked eager for a fight. But Raju still lowered his fist. The five foot six blond nodded in response to the question. Raju wasn't much one for words, he typically used gestures or actions. The guy looked young in what little light he could see in, but the raspy voice made him think much older. Introducing himself as Kokou, the black clad man likewise introduced himself. "Raju." He also nodded in response to the question, though still had his guard up. He didn't know the kid, and how many people are armed with firearms? His Paldean Wooper made a "pa" sound and jumped off.

Brownie had spotted something. Then had to jump to avoid a huge, glowing horn. A Heracross! Brownie's tail glowed purple to use Poison Jab, slamming in the middle of the Pokemon's back. The bug spun around and Tackled his little guy. Only to get a right hook from Raju himself, then poisoned via Toxic, the Paldean Wooper having jumped onto his trainer then up again. The bug tried to use another Megahorn, this time on Raju himself. The gym trainer leaned back, grabbing the overgrown beatle's arms, and directed it into the ground. Brownie used another Poison Jab, getting the Heracross unstuck and slamming it into the wall. Taking out a Pokeball, Raju threw it.

Raju wore all black as he approached the cave, a Paldean Wooper on his shoulder. The blond felt like he needed more variety on his ground racing team, so why not try to find something good here? Plus, could be nice taking Brownie and Shellgore out for some fun. He couldn't help but feel like an explorer going into a cave for some hidden treasure. Except this time his treasure was new pokemon. New friends! He had led Josh Devlin know while they figure out what the hell was up with the frickin flyers for some stupid crap. Surely they recognized how unenforcable all of that was. Either way, not his problem. The gang may be dissolved, but that didn't mean some of the businesses were. And Raju didn't always rely on his Pokemon for his secondary profession.

One of the problems with caves is that sound doesn't travel that well between chambers. There were some lights here and there, dimmed enough to not harm the wildlife, but enough so that you wouldn't be without light. Some rocks moving behind him made Raju swing around with a fist at the ready...

Raju was listening to a live reaction stream to a favorite movie of his. On his shoulder was Brownie, his Paldean Wooper. An alert came out about a Paldean Pokemon swarm on Route 122, near Mt. Pyre. A Bellibolt more specifically. Well, while not quite a fast Pokemon as required by his gym, it was still a Pokemon that interested him. Plus, it was a favorite Pokemon of a streamer from his Aunt's homeland. So off he went to go try to snatch a belly electric type. Brownie was part ground type, so he would be immune to the lightning strikes. Plus, with his ability of water absorb, the Bellibolts wouldn't be able to use their water type attacks either. A rare thing for an electric type to have that kind of coverage. Walking down the trail, he soon spotted several Bellibolt leading groups of Tadbulb. Time to get down to business!

Raju had taken some vacation time from his duties as a gym trainer. What he didn't expect was finding himself way out here. But then again, he wanted some time to train some of his pokemon. Samurai and Finny were his main two he wanted to train up. He also brought Colgate so he could work with them if he had time. Training was important, plus gave him an opportunity to bond with Finny and Colgate some. Samurai he was already close to and trained with, but a little more practice wouldn't hurt. The blond had on black swim trunks and black swimming shoes, but that's it. Raju also kept a black duffle bag that looked like it had teeth on it with him to carry a few things.

Colgate the Togetic waddled around and even flew above the waves a little. Raju pointed at her, and Samurai the Golisipod moved after her to keep her safe. Putting on some unique gloves that allowed him to make a mark when touching practically anything, he faced his foe. Finny the Swampert almost as big as him, and Raju was a smol lad. Five foot six, and didn't look like he was a 152 lbs. But he could definitely lay the hurt on someone if needed...that's where the weight came from, muscle. The sand was a nice touch and would hinder movment. So the duo began to spar, with Raju darting towards Finny, who tried to throw a punch. Only for Raju to avoid it and put a black handprint on his side. It would be a similar routine. Finny would try to hit Raju, only for the lad to dodge or redirect the punch, leave a handprint or streak, and move away. The blond was a fighter, and had no qualms taking on even Pokemon in a fight. So long as he had the tools to even the odds, that is. What he didn't realize was that he wasn't alone. Further away was an adorable picture of a Gabite in floaties and an inner tube with a lady not too far off...
