It was just past noon when Kokou wandered into 122. He had been trying to make his way to Slateport, but got lost in the rush of traffic. Kokou had driven for miles out of his way before he realized where he was, and by then something else had grabbed his attention.

Up ahead on the road there were flashes of yellow light striking up from the ground. "Reverse lightning.. Pewdiepie warmed over." Kokou whispered to himself and pulled over on the side of the road. He drove a sleek, black muscle car and it's brakes were impeccable. The hot rod stopped on a dime and Kokou got out to investigate the phenomenon.

Walking closer to the coastline, Kokou noticed that there were rare Pokemon running all over. It seemed a swarm of Bellibolts had risen from the sea, and Kokou was here for it. Grabbing a luxury ball, Kokou released Shikon the Deino. "Prepare for a fight!" Kokou instructed his Pokemon and pointed her in the direction that he wished her to go. Kokou would fight these Bellibolts tooth and nail before capturing one. That was his way. Kokou believed that in order to raise a Pokemon properly, one had to prove their worth to the Pokemon by submitting them in combat. It hadn't failed him yet.

Cass has been watching an online streamer when the swarm alert has pinged her - seems like she'll have to catch the rest of that stream later in the VOD archive! She does let it run on her phone for a while as she makes her way over, but decides to close it as she arrives and the Electric Terrain of the swarm location envelopes her almost fully.

The hair on her arms stands on ends, and she frowns. "There's been quite a lot of that, huh?" she ponders with Jon in one arm and Pic's hand in the other. Her Smeargle's paint is purple now - not quite unlike the stains on her hands and arms that she tries to cover as best as she can with long sleeves. "Ah, there they are," she exclaims, urging Pic to not get sidetracked by a particularly paint-worthy bush, and instead gesturing to the swarm of Bellibolts. "Here, let's see ... actually, did we ever go to a swarm together since, you know?" she ponders, but Pic's already stopped listening.

Enthralled by the scenery, he's taken out his sketchbook (!!!! not one of her school books) to start painting. But ... she feels bad, seeing as he lines them all purple. It reminds her of Toxic Chains, even if they were more of a magenta, fuchsia colour ... "Anyway," she murmurs, shaking her head. "Let's see if one of those would want to join us!" she says, and tries throwing a pokéball at the many wild pokémon present.

Raju was listening to a live reaction stream to a favorite movie of his. On his shoulder was Brownie, his Paldean Wooper. An alert came out about a Paldean Pokemon swarm on Route 122, near Mt. Pyre. A Bellibolt more specifically. Well, while not quite a fast Pokemon as required by his gym, it was still a Pokemon that interested him. Plus, it was a favorite Pokemon of a streamer from his Aunt's homeland. So off he went to go try to snatch a belly electric type. Brownie was part ground type, so he would be immune to the lightning strikes. Plus, with his ability of water absorb, the Bellibolts wouldn't be able to use their water type attacks either. A rare thing for an electric type to have that kind of coverage. Walking down the trail, he soon spotted several Bellibolt leading groups of Tadbulb. Time to get down to business!

julian watches the bellibolts and their tadbulbs bounce around the coastline, content with their lives. she's got her go pro strapped to her head again, giving her fans a live feed of what she's currently looking at. heidi hemlock is currently racking in the views, as she whispers facts under her breath. "so those things at the top of its head aren't actually eyes," she explains. "they're organs for discharging electricity. a lot of bellibolt have an ability called electromorphosis that allows them to turn damage into electric power, which makes them quite the powerhouse."

one of the pokemon breaks off from the group. julian slowly stands, and pulls out her morpeko's pokeball. "alright, hemlock crew, it's time to attempt a capture." she releases andromeda, and commands her to use crunch to weaken their opponent once it's far enough from the group. hope this one sticks!

Huh, Bellibolts.. Wasn't there a streamer who really liked them? El didn't perfectly remember, but they figured they ought to show a sight like this to them if they could remember who it was.

In the meantime though, they were happy to let the amphibious family enjoy the electricity that buzzed through the air - simply keeping an eye out to ensure that nothing agitated them, and that none of the other people milling about put themself in danger. And who knows, if one came up to them, they certainly wouldn't say no to a new friend!
