He was working on a new project that would hopefully catch the attention of a magazine. It would be great to have his work published, even if recognition wasn't exactly what he was after. In fact, he preferred to fade away into the background. However, having his work published would show that he was good at photography and perhaps show him what he needed to work more on. After all, there was always room for improvement.

Snapping another picture of a flowering plant he had found, he moved to a different position to take another picture. This was about the fifth picture he had taken of the same plant, all from different angles, but he didn't mind. After all, it was good to have a multitude of pictures of the same thing.

Pausing to look through his photos, he was interrupted when a young woman, maybe a bit older than himself, approached. He regarded her with an unreadable expression as she spoke. Photography advice? He wasn't expecting that.

His gaze flickered momentarily to her phone, and he resisted the urge to cringe. As someone who saw himself as a professional photographer, he was a bit mortified that she would use her phone to take photos. Sure, phones were becoming more and more advanced, but they still didn't hold a candle to a camera.

Keeping his expression neutral, he addressed her. "Don't stand in place when you take pictures. It's good to move around and take pictures from different angles. It's also good to keep lighting in mind when you take a photo. Too much or too little light can cause your picture to have shadows that aren't meant to be there or have a glare. Of course, the latter happens the most if you take a picture of someone who wears glasses."[break] Lavinia Kubrick
