Saya loved the spotlight on her, like any kid would. She wasnt the crème de la crèm of the circuit, but it would be an understatement to say she didnt earn her spot.[break][break] It was a freak accident that day, a misstep in the group performance. The Rapidash had been spooked by one of the confetti cannons and Saya had the unfortunate luck to be beside it. It took a team of helpers and their Pokémon to calm the horse down enough to pull Saya away.[break][break] Since then, she's fallen into a deep mistrust and fear of Pokémon. Any attempt at pleasantries from them were ignored as she got rid of her team and then become a recluse. She's coasted by on life bitter and without a penny to her name.[break][break] Then one day, she discovered a lone Pokémon egg resting upset in a bush on her way home from a dead end job. She spent her day off searching around for the mother but nobody seemed to claim ownership of the egg. Although Saya hated herself for it, she took the egg into her care, at least until she could figure out who the owner was.[break][break] Although some part of her hoped she would never find them.
