All in all, it had turned out to be a really wonderful early spring day, a bright sun, clear skies, getting a little bit warmer after the harsh winter that had brough snow all over.[break]
And for a wonderful early spring day, Yuina was delighted at the invitation to spend it out in Cian's garden with him, out around his gym facility. It was a nice break away from... A lot.[break][break]
Yuina heard her name in the near distance, looking up beneath the brim of the hat she wore, in a way matching Delton who stalked beside her on his tall legs. She smiled, she could see Cian in the distance already out and about.[break]
"Cian, it's good to see you," she called back, nearing the garden.

"it's good to see you too!" he says, despite being able to see anything at the moment.[break][break]

after his squinting eyes blink a few times, they adjust enough right as she nears him.[break][break]

"sorry! i must have been blinded by your beauty," he raises the back of his hand to swipe at his eyes, realizing too late that it's dusted in dirt that smears across his eye.[break][break]

he smiles, pretending like everything is okay.[break][break]

Working to close the distance and make it the rest of the way up the path, Yuina neared Cian as he greeted her.[break]
She blinked down though, attempting to duck into the brim of her hat for only a moment, a soft pink brushing beneath her eyes.[break][break]
"I-I'm doing well Cian, thank you for inviting me around today," she spoke after that moment, a bit softer, though as she looked again to meet his eyes, she couldn't help an apologetic smile on her features, one side of his face now marred by a bit of dirt and dust.[break][break]
"Oh no, you just got dirt in your eye, didn't you?"

Making it to the fence of the garden with Delton in tow, Yuina looked around and leaned forward, propping herself up on her elbows against the fence line.[break][break]
The garden truly was beautiful, it was easy to tell how much work went into it all, and Cian mused for a moment, about her historical skills, but did that translate to anything about gardening?[break][break]
"Hmm, I could definitely tell you a thing or two about farming practices for different time periods," Yuina mentioned thoughtfully for a moment, but she looked back out towards the garden itself.[break]
"But... I haven't had a hand in the real thing at all, I'm out of my element here."

Watching as Cian sunk back into the dirt of the garden that sprawled out in front of them, Yuina could help but tilt her head in a bit of thought. Cian's ability to sound confident about everything and nothing at the same time... Like everything was in his wheelhouse but he was almost lost in everything he did... He sure was perplexing...[break][break]
She herself had no room to talk though...[break]
Yuina did step around the fence though as he smiled up at her, offering a hand into the world of gardening.[break]
"You're not wrong about that, maybe I can use this and have a nice plant at my desk and be able to take care of it right," she returned with a smile, reaching out to take his hand he offered, looking to kneel down into the garden too, trying to avoid any of the plants in particular.

"right! so, normally these plants would be just fine here, but see these?"[break][break]

with a small, foldable spade, he points at what appear to be CRYSTABLOOMS, except they look discolored.[break][break]

"i had my science buddies check and they confirmed that these are crystablooms that have somehow been poisoned. they're affecting the ecosystem so it's best to remove them, but they've been here long enough that the soil needs to be replaced."[break][break]

he sticks the spade into the dirt.[break][break]

"which means we'll have to relocate these plants! you'll be saving one of them by taking it to place on your desk."[break][break]

and, hopefully, said plant will also remind her of him whenever she looks at it. or at least that's what the romantic in him believes.

Settling into the soft soil of the garden beside Cian, Yuina listened carefully and intently as he began. It seemed like there was something wrong with the garden, when he moved a couple of leaves, and pointed out a very particular and very peculiar looking flower. She recognized it, maybe, from a gift given to her, but... Why did it look so different?[break][break]
"A poisoned crystalbloom? That doesn't sound good... What would be able to do that," Yuina wondered, it sounded pretty serious... She only knew so much still, about the studies of infinity energy, but if something could poison or affect a crystalbloom this way, what would stop whatever this was from affecting the natural infinity energy in Pokemon in such a negative way...?[break]
Hopefully nothing was actually that dire though, she was really very good at jumping to the worst possible conclusion on things.[break][break]
"Relocate them where? Where is it safe to put something that's going to affect everything surrounding it like this," she returned, though she did look to him at his offer... Not quite an offer, of taking one of the blooms for her desk.[break]
"I guess... As long as its not dangerous... I wonder if isolating one, we could figure out how to heal it..."

which is why his suggestion to house them on their desks works brilliantly as the poisoned plants would sit in their own pots with their own soil, separate from everything else.[break][break]

Whatever the case may be, whether the crystalblooms could be cured or not, how they got here and what was happening... The only thing that mattered then was getting them out of the garden before it became too late.[break]
"Mmm, well how about this one? It sounds like you had already picked it out for me," Yuina joked a bit, noting that she would take the first crystalbloom that they sat around. How many more were in the garden though?[break][break]
"Well, where do we get started? If you have another pair of gloves, and some other tools, I'm ready to help your garden," Yuina offered, fully ready to get to work and giving Cian the reigns for how things needed to go. It was his garden after all.
