Taking care of the planet was in his usual line of work, but someone had to do it. Someone had to make sure Hoenn wasn't destroyed with all this poisonous gas and swamps that had appeared. After all, it would be hard to take over a place if there was no place to take over.

Still, though, couldn't someone else have been tasked with this? His main skill set lay in killing. He was an assassin, not some kind of cleanup crew.

He supposed it wouldn't be too bad, though. There was the possibility of still being able to battle. After all, poison-type Pokémon were presumed to be the ones behind this whole mess.

With Ares, his Gallade, beside him, he awaited the arrival of his partner. Some new rocket. Not that he had much room to talk, since he was still fairly new to Rocket himself. But unlike him, apparently the new rocket wasn't some hardened criminal, at least not yet he wasn't.[break] Ashton Steele

Hailing from the city, Ashton never really had a "conservative" mindset when it came to nature. But, after being out in the Hoenn for a few months he found his view on the beauty and splendor of nature slowly changing.

So, when he got a mission to basically play "eco warrior" for a day. He decided "why not?" What's the worst that can happen? Helping out getting rid of some toxic gas wasn't too hard. He was used to poison types due to the pollution that his hometown produced. That and the other types of pokemon that made themselves home in an urban environment.

Shame he didn't have any poison types to help out more. But he was told that there were other ways to clear these poisonous cesspits. Which was why he was off to meet his mission partner. He didn't pay attention to what the mission giver called the guy. He was barely listening. What he managed to focus on was 'something dragon' or whatever. Some sorta bigshot? Cool, he guessed.

Waving as he made his way towards Ryker he noticed the man looked pretty badass and serious. Ah, that probably wouldn't be fun. He didn't seem like a 'talkative' type. "Yo! Name's Ash, nice to meetcha." He greeted as his Lucario followed behind him its red eyes staring sternly and cautiously at the other Rocket, unlike its much more lax master. "Ready to save the homeland, or whatever?"

Waiting for his partner didn't take long, and when he finally made his appearance, he inclined his head but didn't say anything at first. "Crimson Dragon," he said simply.

Usually, unless there was a need to hide his identity, he would give his real name. However, upon hearing that the guy was new, he had decided to test him. If he impressed him enough, he would give his real name. He was sure it would be what dorian westcliff would do.

Upon hearing the question, he nodded, his gaze flickering briefly to the Lucario before he remembered his own Pokémon. "Oh right, this is Ares," he said, gesturing to the Gallade at his side, whose red eyes were completely fixed on the Lucario.

Deciding not to think too much about why his Gallade was so fixated on the Lucario, he started walking. It was clear that Ash and his Lucario were meant to follow, especially after Ares hurried after his trainer.[break] Ashton Steele
