001 the de laurierwylle family have strong roots in the kalos region but jacques de laurierwylle, his wife, fiorella and father, théodore, have stronger ties to team rocket. due to this loyalty to the organisation, they relocated to hoenn before the birth of their only biological child, sailor.[break][break]

002 and de laurierwylle is one of the first name to anyone's lips when they think: real estate, wealth, philanthropy. they own one of the premier hotels to be found in the hoenn region, operating a very popular casino within. what people don't realise that everything is a front to fund their continued support of team rocket and their infrastructure around hoenn.[break][break]

003 it's cliché, but sailor is moulded to be the perfect little grunt. they are skilled at breaking and entering, safe-cracking, low stakes con jobs & stealing pokémon. doesn't care if the 'mon has an owner or not.[break][break]

004 while sai knows their parents are shit people, they still believe in the team rocket cause and think the organisation will change things for the better. so they have no qualms working for them as a grunt (but sai still wants to escape from under their parents' thumbs). they do not nickname Pokémon, however, as they don't want to be attached.[break][break]

005 their adopted sibling, Fenelle Miller and their grandpa, théo, are the two people sai is closest to in the world. while they may seem cold and aloof to anyone else, sai shows their sensitive and caring side to these two only. technically sailor is the older sibling but sometimes the roles can be reversed (and while his parents considered it a waste of time, sailor learned sign to communicate better with fen).[break][break]

006 then tend to favour dark / poison / ghost type mons. their only Pokémon they have was a 'graduation' present from their parents - a galarian zigzgoon that sailor has raised into an obstagoon. obstagoon acts as sailor's bodyguard and is never, ever in his poké ball. he is overprotective of sailor and his trainer secretly dotes on him.[break][break]

007 sai's sibling got them into anime and in particular, magical girl anime. when they feel stressed from whatever job they've just pulled off, sailor likes to unwind with an ep from one of their favourites or while listening to songs from different series.[break][break]

008 despite being ace, sailor is a huge romantic and does hope to one day find someone who'll love them for them. they're also interested in tarot and will consult their cards before doing a job, just to see what the outlook is like or do spreads for people they like (read: currently only fen).[break][break]

009 sai has the latest rotom phone and is always on it (mostly texting fen). for the longest time they didn't use emojis but recently had adopted them into messages since the habit rubbed off on them (gee, from who? i wonder...). they like to take pics of their obstagoon and send them to fen. much like a cat owner, they're not always the most flattering but sai thinks they're cute so that is all that matters.[break][break]
