Thank Arceus there weren't any cameras around to witness the scuffle. June wasn't sure if this counted as Pokémon abuse or not, but she wasn't about to leave here without the damn Mienfoo in the safari ball. Thus, they were currently rolling around on the ground in the struggle of their lives. Mienfoo always managed to elude the second ball, but June held on like a parasite.

If anyone saw her losing a fight with a half-child sized creature, she'd never hear the end of it. "GET IN THE STUPID FUCKING BALL, YOU RUNT!"

Bruised, battered, and with a few new holes in her skin, June agonized on the ground with the Safari ball that held the Mienfoo. Bastard. Fucker deserved a trash compactor burial. She'd need to get a rabies shot, plus Arceus knew what else. How much would this put her back in the hole? The one the size of a mountain.

Whatever. Fuck it. Slowly, the mechanist pulled herself off the ground and dusted her clothes off. They were covered in scratches and blood, but at least she could rest easy knowing some of it wasn't hers. A cold comfort, as she hobbled to where the Varooms were.

"Stupid Mienfoo... stupid Safari ball... stupid Warden..." she cursed. As soon as she breached the bush to the next 'environment', a dozen Varoom gave her a curious glance. Only one dared approach her, its little exhaust-snout high in the air. It sniffed her out, not at all prepared for the Safari ball that clocked it on the engine block.

What was that saying from before? Something about blinded eyes? It eluded her mind (likely due to brain damage from the Mienfoo), but it sent a stab of guilt and pity into her heart. She reached out with her last Safari ball and tapped it on the head of the Lileep. No way in hell she could keep it, but... maybe someone else could make it happy.

Unfortunately, all it did for the delivery girl was remind her of the past. And how Grigori Sokolov and annalise henderson were still missing.
