Due to him being more of a hermit than anything else when it came to information, it was through second-hand contact he had learned about kyle lopez’s disappearance (he refused to believe it was a death until the evidence had been laid out in front of him) so surprise, surprise—

Someone would be knocking on the doors of a certain ranch, out at a certain location, bringing along some alcoholic drinks (because what else was new?!) and some ‘home made food’ as well (if you could count nonna’s Alto Marean carbonara that he made himself as homemade).

“Oi, Matias? You there?” he would call out after knocking on the door that led to the indoor space exactly three times.

“Bitch,” he would call out—though there would be the briefest hint of a smirk on his face as he looked upward and temporarily flashed the other man the bird with his free hand.

“I don’t have a bald spot, thank you very much,” he would clap back, before retuning his attention to the offerings he’d brought with him today.

“Made some carbonara, nonna’s recipe, and brought some craft brews from Moonblast Microbrew along,” he would reply.

“Figured you might not be allowed tequila or any of the hard shit so I brought beer instead, whatever works.”

He then shifted his balance from one foot to another.

his eyes narrow, though he doesn't bother keeping up the rouse for long. "sure." his head disappears from the window as he ducks back in, and not long after that, the front door opens, and he spares an inviting gesture in.

"beer works."

he takes one of the bags to help as he leads them into the space of his ranch. he rounds the granite countertop in the kitchen, placing it there, before reaching for plates.

He didn’t want to muddy up the place, so off went the boots—revealing jet-black socks underneath his jeans as he made his way inside.

(He knew better than to ask for Eva Morales, he wasn’t going to go there now was he.)

Once they’d set down the bags on the counter, he would crack open a bottle of beer by slipping the edge of the cap on the counter and pulling downwards—he forgot to bring a bottle opener, oops.

He figured—it would be best to get straight to the point of his visit, so…

“So… I heard about what happened out on Mount Chimney. That shit really happened?” he would confirm, taking a sip from the beer bottle in his hand.
