taking flight with the assisstance of the hydreigon summoned by the device in-hand, petra scours the small distance she can see into the whirls of ash and sand. and just as she wonders if the flygon had already moved on, the sudden buzzing of their wings fills her ears as they overtake the lone ranger.

"fuck, they're in here alright!" despite shouting as loud as she could, the mayhem from the storm likely allows their approach to go unnoticed. that is, until she commands her pokemon to attack, dispersing the crowd of flygon as well as a small space in the storm via hydreigon's dragon pulse.

The dragon pulse marks Petra’s location like a signal flare; following it is a negative pressure wave that disorients the flygon swarm on the return.[break][break]

The glalie wheels about-face and spews a BLIZZARD into the air. Any flygon unlucky enough to be caught directly then freeze and fall to earth as morbid hail. The rest scatter back into the storm cover and disappear once more.[break][break]

The interpol agent then rummages through her many coat pockets until she finds a device that looks suspiciously like a miniature megaphone, and brings it to her lips.[break][break]

“WHAT ARE THE CHANCES THERE’S KROOKODILE HERE? HAH, WOULDN’T THAT BE———BZzzzt!”[break][break]

The obnoxious announcement ends abruptly.[break]

although scarce time is afforded between her last action and the next, petra can't help but raise a brow curiously at the ground. yujin's remark about krookadile was unusual, mostly due to how loud it was projected through the megaphone.

to deter the flygon from further invoking the storm, a roar erupts from the hydreigon's three maws as they haphazardly pass through the soot-laced winds once more. though able to see better with their lensed eyes, these unwanted pests scatter at the zealous approach of another dragon.

gradual as it may be, the winds and soot would wane while visibility improved, with most of the remaining flygon making a decisive retreat. petra descends, landing near her partner for this little fiasco.

Yujin says, having stuffed her mysteriously reinforced briefcase into an attacking krookodile’s mouth. Her glalie has already frozen most of it in place so it can’t deathroll, and she finishes the job by pistol whipping it on the head (because she tries not to shoot pokemon when rangers are present).[break][break]

When it slumps to the ground unconsciously, releasing the briefcase, Yujin scowls at the damage.[break][break]

petra remains vigilant as she witnesses the women dealing with a krookodile, taking note of the handgun. it was a shocking sight, seeing her blatantly pistol whip the creature like that. "do you use that on... nevermind." the part-time ranger also carries a handgun, though it's bullets are reserved for rockets. she'd caused enough harm to pokemon already, thanks to her time spent in their research labs. and while it was against her code, she wouldn't tell yujin what to do.

"sorry about the bag." returning her hydreigon into it's ball, signs of the storm soon become nothing but soot and sand littering the area. no flygon are to be seen, leading petra to believe it was another job well done. "though i can't say i hate the rugged and worn look." the mark of teeth scraping along it's surface gave the bag...character, yeah.

A myriad of related questions followed, but she grew reluctant to pose them on Yujin. Instead the mention of Interpol ropes in the Monroe's attention. "So like an agent, or something? Would've thought you'd be too busy for fetching flygon."
