“Enteisaurus, look out!” The eccentric trainer shouted a warning, not that her paradoxical partner needed one.

The Gouging Fire’s majestic headpiece was wreathed in ultra-hot flames, forming a protective Burning Bulwark that burned the opponent upon making contact.

On contact, a blazing counter was dished out, swathing the steel goat in flames before it leapt far back.

The battle wasn't going great— may well have been lost already. But nonetheless, the machine gathered itself before zooming forward swiftly, its crown glowing brightly as striked a seemingly unavoidable blow.

The futuristic Sword of Justice went for its signature move, but it was too little too late. Its blade had already been dulled by the burn. Rather than trying to dodge an undodgeable attack, the Gouging Fire countered it with a Raging Fury.

“You can win, Entaisaurus! I believe in you! RAWR!” Andrea roared in excitement as the two paradoxes crashed against each other like two worlds colliding.

The arena quaked, the clash reverberating through the stadium as a large shockwave followed, kicking up a curtain of dust.

As it cleared, the K.O'd machine (?) was revealed, prompting a clap from the Gym Leader.

"Well done." He said, returning his paradox to its pokeball as he marched to the center of the battlefield, undaunted by the giant dinosaur as he fished into a case for a gleaming badge.

“W-we… won? We won!” Cried Andrea in a mixture of shock and joy. It was a hard-fought victory that had taught her a valuable lesson: Just spamming big moves was not always a winning strategy. Enteisaurus had come out on top thanks to its strength AND its bulk.

The young cosplayer walked up to Gwyar, gratefully accepting his badge that shone like gold. “Thanks! I’m glad I didn’t fumble it this time. Now I finally feel ready to take on the Elite Four!”

In a few months, when the Champion Assessment re-opened, that is.
