So eager was she to forget about her self loathing and to move on to catching Pokemon, that Mitsuru completely missed the shiny Pachirisu perched on a nearby fence post. Yep. She walked right past it. Didn't even see it.

Haha. Oof.

But while she was liable to miss an electric squirrel here and there, there was one thing that she absolutely couldn't miss, and that was the sound of jingling keys.

And sure enough, floating along the path was none other than the eponymous key pokemon, Klefki. Named so for both its klef, and its key. She just HAD to get one of these! Imagine how convenient it would be, having a little living keychain to keep and sort all your keys. She wouldn't even have to go digging through her handbag to get them...

A-and it was also probably a very good Pokemon, too! Probably.

So, with her mind all but made up, Mitsuru lined up a throw, and made a very sloppy but good enough capture attempt on the fairy and steel type.

With a jingle and a jangle, a click and a clack, and a few bounces off the ground, Mitsuru Kagami was now the proud owner of a brand new Klefki!

...Okay, maybe "proud" was a strong word. "Content" was probably more fitting. Either way, she was happy! But she still had plenty of balls left to throw, and not much time to throw them. So, with a napkin in one hand and her newly full Safari Ball in the other, she quickly wiped off the dirt before stashing it in her purse and continuing on.

What followed that was a dry spell, walking along the paths and seeing not much of anything. Though, she supposed that wasn't strange, was it? What with it being summer and all, this place was probably packed with people making catches, so there probably weren't that many Pokemon in stock this time of year. Yeah, that made sense! Probably! Not that she had a business degree or anything, but it all seemed to add up. Not that she had a math degree or anything, but it just seemed like good business. Not that she had a--

Ooo, a Sizzlipede! Admittedly, Mitsuru wasn't much for bug types, but she saw this really great article in a magazine about how people in Galar used these little guys to warm their homes during the colder months. And if she could use it to cut costs on her heating during the winter? Then she'd be well in the money!

Not that she was in the money, but... Uh... Anyway! Catch time!

With that disgusting, vile, awful, no good, very bad Dunsparce out of the way, Mitsuru was free to continue on her way. And it didn't take long for her to move to greener pastures!

Metaphorically. Literally, they were the same amount of green, maybe a shade duller or so. Either way, she quickly stumbled upon a humble Klink floating about. Much like the Klefki from before! Except, well, she had a lot more use for a keychain than she did for spare gears. Still, even if she didn't have use for them, SOMEBODY would, right? Maybe she could trade them to a mechanic for... Er... A Cutiefly, maybe? Or, like... Maybe a Vulpix?

Something like that.

So, grabbing her third Safari Ball, Mitsuru made her third throw and her third capture of her third trip to the Safari.

With keys, 'pedes, and cogs all hers, Mitsuru was feeling good. Better than she had after her last few visits, anyway. She hadn't even suffered any major injury or ended up in any embarrassing situation! But she still had one Safari Ball left, and her time was ticking down. She didn't have long left to find herself her last catch. So, scooping up her Klink, she quickly began looking around. There was no time to waste. After all, she couldn't just expect the perfect Pokemon to fall out of the sky, now could she?

Nor could she expect it to run at her at forty miles per hour and hit her head on.

"Cyyyyyyyyyyyyyy... Cliiiiiiiiiiiiiiii.... ZARRRRRRR--"

"EEP!"

CRASH! Lizard hit woman at high speeds, and both of them were sent tumbling and skidding across the ground. And, amidst the chaos of the impact, Mitsuru's last remaining Safari Ball slipped from her hands and caught on the tail of the Cyclizar. As it vanished in the flash of red light, that left the mystic to continue her thrashing and smashing alone, before she finally flopped to a halt.

Hey, but at least shake, shake, shake, CLICK, right! That was pretty good!

Or at least, she'd probably think it was pretty good when she woke up. Until then, she'd have to wait for one of the Safari Wardens to drag her and her haul back to civilisation...
