Pachurisu? The little squirrel-like creature scampered down a branch to hang upside-down on the lowest branch. Its incessant chitter caught her off guard, and its sudden fluffy appearance scared the daylights out of her. She jumped back and nearly sent the fucker to the earth. Thankfully, she stopped herself centimeters before the blow connected.

And it stared at her with those beady, awful eyes. Only made worse by the awful heat that coated the surrounding environment. "Fuck off, you little rat."

She walked right past the thing, knowing fully well the next one wouldn't be so lucky.

This... was a living creature?

The Klefki floated next to a narrow stream, happy as a sentient keyring could be. It bobbed up and down, trying its best to get a drink from the water without getting all its stolen keys wet. Its jangle filled the air with an all too familiar sound, and her nails dug into her shorts. Reminded her of her own keys. How annoying it was.

That's why the ball arced straight for its stupid head. If only to shut up so she didn't have to hear it as she walked further into the Safari zone.

Why the hell was there a piece of bacon in the wild? June approached the devilish looking thing on the ground, covered in dirt and soil. Whoever dropped it probably felt pissed, but not enough to deprive the wildlife of their feast.

Except when it moved. It drew a scream from the delivery-girl as it writhed, then hopped on its multitude of legs. Before she knew it, a Safari ball arced straight for the middle of its body. Thank Arceus it disappeared into the ball without too much effort.

Stupid bug. Was it playing dead or something?

June watched the thing crawl across the ground, directly in her path. It looked like a bug. Wings, weird face things, stinger on the back. But something itched in the back of her skull. It... had to be a bug, right? How could it not? So, she pulled out her phone and took a quick picture of it.

Her phone was able to discover its name. "Dunsparce... what the hell are you?"

The internet told her the answer shortly after. She scowled and stomped right over and past the stupid NORMAL type. Seriously, what the fuck were Pokemon?

A pile of gears? Pokemon were confusing. Really, what the hell was this and why was it in the wild?

It floated off to the side, oblivious to June. It spun endlessly on end in perfectly synchronized motion. The pair made June's own head spin in a circle, but in a good way. Perfectly mesmerized by the motion. It was hypnotic and kept her attention perfectly. Her phone fell from her hands and the Poke balls sat heavy in her pocket.

Until it suddenly turned. Changed. Her attention faltered for a split second, and she pulled herself out of the mesmerization. "Fuck, that's way too addicting."

The Safari Ball flew straight for them, desperate to remove the distraction from her vision.
