In preparation for the upcoming war, you and your team have been entrusted with the crucial task of fortifying Rocket’s defense—a complex network of tera tunnels interwoven with bunkers seized from Project Lockbox during Meteno. You must fortify the walls using steel beams and metals provided by Rocket’s own blacksmith, Aurelie Lefevre; or instead choose to install security cameras in the walls as determined by Rocket's intel team and Admin Bee (BARNABY FINCH). The tera tunnels were stunning, visually. But the excitement was tampered with an anxiety that preceded war. It was a complicated thing, as this was the sort of anxiety that usually debilitated civilians, but she was a seasoned war veteran. Her anxiety was less ambiguous and more concrete, though perhaps it was more accurately described as anticipation. [break][break]

"We must fortify the area." If it fell into League hands, Rocket would lose a lot of resources. Besides, security and knowledge were important, but if you couldn't defend what you knew was about to be attacked, what was the point of finding out about it at all? They needed to have the capacity to do something should anyone try to assault the hold. [break][break]

The metal beams were top-quality. Aurelie had done nothing but earn respect from Ameena. Still, as Gardevoir began to move the steel beam into place, Ameena couldn't help but voice her concern. "Do you think the League even knows about it? This location?"

And here he thought all of these missions were going to be just mindless training, but with this and the weapon's training he had done with the General he was becoming more receptive to all these. The scientist 'oooooing' and 'awing' at the cave around them giving it's materials that he is surprised they haven't stripped it completely yet. Though he is sure that'll come in time as he is asked with helping RENFOCING the cave.[break][break]

Wright having his golurk both hold in place the metal beams up on the wall and some smaller bits against each other as the scientist aims to weld them together to reinforce the beam itself and provide a better base. "Of course they do! The walls have ears after all, that and I doubt the League doesn't have other locations like this they've discovered," he seems dismissive of her concerns but its clear it doesn't bother him too much.

You recognize that nothing is more crucial than strengthening Rocket's defenses. Striding purposefully towards the construction crew, you seize the steel beams, either with your own hands or the aid of your Pokémon. [break][break]

Together, you reinforce the inner walls of the tunnels, enhancing their structural integrity. Once complete, nothing will be able to breach them — not the League, nor any other entity that dares to breach Rocket's inner heart. [break][break]

However, no matter how tireless you and your Pokémon labor away, the pile of steel beams are a pit of despair. They are endless. The realization soon dawns that it's not due to the workload itself but because you are the only one working! Glancing up, you spot a group of other Rockets goofing off - engaging in idle chitchat, lounging around, or just being plain difficult. [break][break]

He sounded so matter-of-fact about it. She looked between his Golurk and her Gardevoir and sighed deeply. Would either of them be ready for a League assault? If there was one right now? She didn't like how the fight played out in her mind. Her team was still organized around prioritizing her, fleeing with her. She needed more defensive pokemon, even if she figured that Rocket would be pushing offensively, aggressively, forcefully. [break][break]

Stupid, she didn't consider it now. [break][break]

She took a step back to assess how much work was left and noticed that Yuan and her were the only ones actively ordering their pokemon to labor. "HEY," she shouted at the trio of delinquents over yonder. "You better get back to it before I feed you to my Guzzlord." Guzzlord was the first thing that came to mind, though she had none to speak of. It was more terrifying than the other ultra beasts in the sense that it seemed ready to consume absolutely anything. At least the others would try to kill you in a regular manner.

Despite the work there was still to go Yuan had no problems with it, because he knows if he does it then it would actually be done correctly rather than these nimrods being allowed to bring an end to all his good work. Though blue eyes can't help but roll back as his partner seems to be frustrated over the matter rather than let it go. And while he was not usually the type to get worked over such matters he does shift his position as he leans on his Golurk. [break][break]

"I'd listen to her if I were you, her pokemon pack quite the punch," he jokes but at least he gives the effort to back her up eno0ugh. Though honestly this would probably be as far as he went as getting in fights with others was definitely not a strong suit for him should the other try picking a fight and dying on this hill.

Yuan's support didn't seem to persuade the grunts who couldn't comprehend the hot water they were in. Ameena had stared down too many soldiers, insurgents, and worthless employees in all her years to be intimidated by someone who had a little height on her. "Allow my Gardevoir to express it more clearly, since you have hearing problems."[break][break]

Gardevoir projected the sentiment - GET BACK TO WORK - in their heads aggressively, the psychic message becoming headache inducing the longer the grunts failed to comply. Gardevoir's influence on the mind was unmatched among Ameena's pokemon. Ameena turned away from them and back to Yuan, unconcerned with them now that Gardevoir was going to keep them on a tight leash. "I am so glad they reached an understanding," she said to him pleasantly. "Let us return to the task at hand, hm?"

The scientist knows he can't contribute anything here, with his short height, and noodle arms he as about as threatening as a deerling eating grass. Beyond that his lack of battling skill is something he that is sure to be well known. So rather he just watches the display of power the Tech CEO displays as he gestures for his Golurk to make a proper seat with his hand as he sits back and watches the display as he grabs the bag of fruit snacks from his pocket to eat while he enjoys. Once it was done he would give her small applause, "Beautiful display of power Deedee," he chuckles "So do we now get to sit back and watch them work?" he jokes knowing the answer to it, "Though honestly if they're lacking here I can't help but doubt their ability to do this right"

Good. Ameena didn't want bloodshed on their side. In-fighting would hinder the war effort, and the last thing she wanted was for it to drag out. War was a tiresome marathon. It would only drain Rocket resources and, consequently, those she could contribute to her research. It was a distraction. [break][break]

"Nice work," she praised as they left Jayden Cross' sight and were officially free of their tasks. "I have to ask, though. If I had chosen a full-on attack on those guys, would you have had my back?" He seemed resistant to battling, though in the scenario she offered, she couldn't imagine she would need help with those fools.
