Time for another training session—his usual ‘partner in crime’, Fenelle Miller, was elsewhere today so he would be partnering up with someone else for today’s video; hopefully they were competent enough to handle the situation on hand.

A quick double-check on his companion’s available information… oh, boy. He would be partnered up with the person who’d very nearly singlehandedly destroyed the Rocket submarine back then, eh?

This was going to be good.

“Hope we can put your talent for blowing things up to good use here for today’s exercise,” he would turn to address his companion.

Oh god an actual fight training. [break][break]

He was screwed, he had been doing so well at avoiding these so far and now there wasn't a choice. Though at the very least it seems like his partner is from the old days so maaaaaaaayyybe jusy maaaaaaybe they have a shot at this? He gives a laugh when the other mentions his little deed that got him shipped off to Unova's branch. "Uhhh yeah that can't be happening again, I'm sure Cillian Quinn would kill me if I did the same level of destruction then here and now."[break][break]

"Soooo how about you handle the plant one aaaaand I'll be back here, Juu Dee!" calls for his pokemon as he steps back. From his hair pops up the small little Jotick that seemed to reside there. The spider crawling forward as if ready to kick butt.

Underboss Fiorelli appears indifferent to your choice, but steps forward all the same. Within moments she releases Wo-Chien onto the battlefield. [break][break]

Vines and leaves cascade from its snail-like shell, which gleams with a mysterious, earthy luster. Its ochre eyes convey a sinister intelligence as it watches both you and your Pokémon. After taking stock of its opponent, Wo-Chien begins the battle — not with a bombastic assault, but by opening its slime-coated mouth to release POISON GAS onto the field. [break][break]

He couldn’t help but smirk a little at the threat hanging over his companion’s head if Cillian Quinn caught wind of a repeat of similar events happening.

(Was the destruction really that bad?)

Now that they were going up against—there was no other word for it—a snail that began exhaling poison, he was quick to pull out his Doublade; since Steel was one of the few types that could counter a Poison-type attack.

“I don’t know how prepared you are, but get ready to defend!” he continued; even if it pained him to say those words.

Much as he was itching to go on the offensive, this was a legendary Pokémon they were up against; so it would be best to play the waiting game for the moment and see what else the ‘snail’ was capable of doing.

"Oh not at all, I am no battler here deedee I'm here as support soooo... wooooo you're doing great" he does a mock cheer before the underboss calls for her patron and already he knows they're screw. He has no clue what the hell this pokemon even is outside a grass type, and seeing the gas? Possibly poison? Though it wasn't like Grass wasn't common with it. [break][break]

Wright brings up his face mask to protect himself from the gas yet the Joltick is effected. It preps to defend the best way it knows how as it would start things off with a THUNDER WAVE to try and slow the create down and make it easier to escape should they need.

Though the toxic miasma proves to be an unavoidable hindrance and poisons your Pokémon, your defensive approach may in fact have been the better strategy. [break][break]

Wo-Chien's next attack is one of its most formidable. Its eyes glow with an eerie, ochre light as it begins to use RUINATION. Vines and roots burst from the ground around it, infused with a dark, ancient energy and lash out at your Pokémon. Having a defense prepared against this attack is a boon. [break][break]

(If only he could bring out an entire salt shaker and throw the purifying contents at the legendary ~~Pokémon~~ snail that stood before them, he would.)

Brushing away intrusive thoughts that threatened to derail his trail of thought since he was technically on the vanguard defense side of things, he was… no.

No, he would not.

Seeing how… oh god, maybe Cillian Quinn was right to send Mr Wright away to the Unovan branch as punishment for that little stunt on the submarine!

“You’re not that much of a fighter, are you?” he would turn to address his companion; before returning his attention back to the situation at hand.

While his Doublade had somehow managed to endure the noxious fumes for now, there was no telling what that incoming Ruination attack would do when it came crashing down upon the battlefield; there was nothing else to it.

One singular whistle would cue the Doublade in to cross their blades upon themselves in a defensive gesture.

who knows what that snail is packing, we stay on the defense!

"I think I have quiet literally just confirmed that no, I'm am not I belong in the labs," he confirms the other's suspicions as it was clear that he had no clue how to defend himself, his pokemon or his partner. He has no clue what the whistling is about but as the vines come out from the legend to strike joltik is in panic. [break][break]

While he has no real defense the Joltik does attempt to use it's ELECTRO WEB to derail the attack coming at it. Though he highly doubts it would help.

Before you leave, she also suggests that you seek out bryan delarosa for added combat instruction. Beast Delarosa is known to be quite merciless on the battlefield, after all.

Bowing before the might of a legendary Pokémon… well, he’d normally heard of these tales happening in other regions, however Avatars were on another level entirely.

He could spare no words for his companion for the moment; he would need to research more on the legendary Pokémon that were fighting on Team Rocket’s side for more information.

“I trust you can get more information about… any other legendary Pokémon we may be going up against in the future,” he would address the other once he’d found the appropriate words to say.

(And also, approaching Beast bryan delarosa? Not after what him and Fenelle Miller went through? That… was going to be a tall order in and on itself!)
