this is, truthfully, the twentieth time she's asked by now. she suspects he'll leave her behind by the twenty fifth.

by then, at least, they should have found something to take back to the submarine... right?

the magnemite by her side buzzes a few times, as if trying to join the conversation, and her head turns to stare at it. after a moment, a barely audible whisper creeps out toward the magnemite, "don't be rude."

pot meeting kettle, perhaps.

Of course, he wasn't done yet; they had just arrived. Lina's constant jabs and probing questions cast unwelcome doubts on his skills, a bitter pill he found hard to swallow.

"Not yet," he responded, with a bothered tone.

Mark focused on his laptop, fingers dancing across the keyboard with precision. Each keystroke brought them closer to their objective, the screen casting a dim glow in the shadowy confines of the decommissioned power plant. Loose cables snaked around him, plugging into a myriad of ports scattered across the dilapidated control panels. His proygon-z hovered protectively behind him, its digital eyes locked on Lina's magnemite, which buzzed around them like an oversized, metallic insect.

[attr="class","lina i"]his response seems rather irked and she shrinks back, a look of dejection rising quickly before smoothing over as her magnemite comes closer to hover close to her shoulder.

once it's within close proximity, it lets out a soft buzz.

"okay."

minutes don't pass for too long before a plusle and an aggron come wandering through. her magnemite leaves to poke and prod at the aggron's skin with small zaps of electricity. when the aggron seems to have been bothered enough, the small magnemite hits it with a thunder wave to paralyze it in place. lina throws a pokeball at it shortly after with a small smile.

The digital pokemon twists and contorts as it relentlessly chases a small plusle around the room. The plusle squeaks in fear, but porygon-Z doesn’t need to use any moves; the chase itself is enough. Only when the Plusle is cornered against the wall does Mark finally pay attention.

"Looks like you've got it," he says with a smirk, casually tossing an empty poke ball toward the trapped rodent. The porygon-Z shifts slightly, ensuring it doesn’t interfere with the throw. The ball connects, and the Plusle is sucked inside with a flash of light.

Mark returns to his laptop, his focus unbroken. "Hand me that," he orders the nearby grunt, gesturing to a piece of debris a few feet away. The object, resembling a small server rack, catches Mark’s interest as he continues his work.
