Eddie looked back down at Eris to meet that questioning gaze. He paused, struck by an uncharacteristic trepidation, [break][break]

He wasn't sure that he had an answer to that question. Sure, in some ways it was easy – Admin Fox was a motherfucker, a bastard that Eddie was eager to give a swift kick in the ass one of these days. But on the other hand, his aims were to bring about an end to a dread wyrm that would see their world destroyed. [break][break]

Eddie remembered a conversation he had with a friend of his on this very island some months ago, not long before this whole shitshow had kicked off, and not long after he had escaped the Megalopolan prison ship. Yuina Higashi had made him promise to be better than the craven bastards that tore at each other's throats just because they could. It was a promise made to pursue justice, not to perpetuate long-standing blood feuds just because he found an opportunity to take an eye or a tooth. [break][break]
