It feels that her life is currently filling with all kinds of anomalies - not necessarily, not quite only what is going on in Hoenn with the sightings of different phenomena that aren't typically observed in the recent decade, or even century, but ... something else that is of concern. Something that has filled her life with a new type of life, though the young researchers aren't quite filling the empty space that already existed, rather building around it in some way or another. Leaving her abode in the early morning before anyone is quite awake apart from the early birds of the forest, her thoughts can't help but think to Keiko Nakamura, a puzzling sensation emerging as she looks over what she thinks to have known, for it never changed - and yet, it did, in its own small ways. Smiling softly, she wonders if change is that bad of a thing - as it seems that once more, the Fomantis is in for a chase, hopping and jumping to get her trainer's attention. "Alright, Branwen, who are we looking for today?"

As they walk alongside the trees and forests that show signs of the coming season, she has yet to figure out what is agitating the Fomantis this much that she seems to be foregoing her daytime naps in search of ... who? What? She can't help but to wonder as there seems to be more afoot than she might have initially thought. Every once in a while, the Pokémon going ahead would look back, keeping eye contact with her trainer to ensure that she is still here before simply going forth, cutting through vines that hang in there unfortunately or simply passing by-and-under.[break]
[break]
They are passing a group of Vileplume, one that looks directly at the duo, though it doesn't seem like Branwen is taking an interest and before Islwyn can properly register things, they are past already, too, deeper and deeper into the forest's mysteries.

Past the Vileplume is a Kilowattrel that is invading their space - or maybe, they invaded his first? - as it glides down, obstructing the path they were meant to take. However, the Fomantis is quite adamant on where she seems to want to go, sending X-Scissor and Fury Cutters his way whenever he would fly by. It eventually makes the other flee as Branwen continuous on her way, eyes looking and looking ...[break]

It almost makes it hard for Islwyn to follow, though she is close behind the Grass type however, not saying anything as there isn't much to be told. Just where is she headed to, however ...?

Finally, it seems like they are reaching somewhat of a destination amidst it all - curiosity does not spare her as Branwen comes to a stop on a quite beautiful clearing, and in the middle of it ... A Hydrapple? Fury seems to overtake the Fomantis' pride over the sight, as it seems to be that the other is chewing on something? And finally, Islwyn recognises it to be one of Branwen's favourite snacks - and the story is pieced together for this strange adventure. The Fomantis takes no moment of hesitation to square up and take on the dual type during this Sunny Day, firing a Solar Beam at the other followed by some Fury Cutters and X-Scissors her way through.[break]

Islwyn finds herself quite perplexed at the rather violent display, though there is some other uncertain feeling that she had when watching the way the Hydrapple has eaten away the treat, and the strong reaction that Branwen had ... "Bleiddwn, is that you?" And a happy noise - amidst the clear defeat as the Fomantis reclaims what is hers - is audible as she hurries over, offering the Pokéball that used to belong to the other - and Bleiddwn takes it with gratitude. The forest ranger shakes her head, though she cannot quite fault Branwen - she should rather be grateful that one of her lost ones has returned, albeit in a strange way. "Shall we make some more treats for you now?" she hums to Branwen, who seems more than overjoyed.
