Normally, Vespa wouldn't take too much interest in the Safari Zone, considering that there are aplenty of Pokémon that can be encountered in the wild, too, but ... there is intrigue as she hears how some of her classmates got spooked out, or are as equally thrilled as herself would be - is. She feels vibes as she enters with her usual crew, even though knowing that the Falinks Squad will have a difficult time against the others - but still, there is the thrill of seeking, and the comfort of knowing the Squad is around in dire straits.[break]

And if nothing else ... there is the mischievous Misdreavus floating, snickering in delight over something that Vespa cannot even fathom as she bumps the Ghost type out of her trajectory, which is only replied to with a grimace - and a grin of her own.

Shadows are thickening the further she goes on, darkness spreading amidst the trees and bushes and even seem to crawl from the water as she catches sight of ... huh? That's something she rarely sees, immediately ushering forth as she exchanges a glance with the Misdreavus and nods. Though they still aren't quite one soul and two bodies, she is quite growing to feel comfortable with the Misdreavus - for all the tricks she may play, Vespa can be sure that she has her back, and vice-versa.[break]
[break]
Opening with a Shadow Sneak, they are quickly closing in on the Galarian Corsola - before Vespa is throwing a safari ball, humming happily as the Pokémon disappears in the light, into the ball.

Quinn is changing her steps every now and then - sometimes floating ahead of her, sometimes floating behind her, always kind of next to her ... until the shadows are lifting a little, making way for the gentle flickers of fire. A Fennekin seems to be practising some moves, putting on an intriguing show. It intrigues the young student, too, crouching down close to the Fire type as she hums, "that looks pretty fun ... hey, why don't you come with me? I actually know quite a drummer to your beat ... maybe."[break]

Is this a big jump to make? But so what! The magical wand of sorts does remind her of the precious wooden stick that the Grookey is keeping close to his heart, and that could be fun, maybe? Or maybe not ... but for now, she does offer a safari ball to the Fennekin with a grin.

As the duo wanders forth, Quinn begins a meaningless debate over something that Vespa can't quite grasp herself, making faces back and forth as they are incapable of communicating through words that the young student would normally use for an entirely nonsensical debate, too. In that regard, probably, this wordless banter probably holds no less meaning than the debates she'd carry out with words, a realisation that makes Vespa grin, but leaving it at that as they approach a Pumpkaboo. Right ... she hasn't had much luck in guessing Pumpkaboo sizes before, but now ...[break]

"That's - uh - definitely a large one, right?" she says out loud, looking sceptical over her own words, scrunching her nose as she does so, "or ... maybe ... it's ... on the smaller side, actually?" The muttering continues on for a while, apparently delighting the Pokémon to no end, floating happily and making it even more difficult for her to determine much anything about him. Eventually, Vespa sighs and caves, pulling out another safari ball that she offers to the other, "hey, wanna come with me? I'll definitely find out what size you are!" Maybe. Maybe in another life.

Still discussing the size of the Pumpkaboo with her dearly beloved-beloathed-tolerated-adored little gremlin partner (though actually, she isn't quite so sure - maybe Quinn is also describing the oddly-shaped trees here and now, who knows), Vespa and Quinn are making their way through the Safari Zone with one safari ball left ... who should be their final attempt, she wonders?[break]

The question seems to be answered imminently as a bone is flung at the Misdreavus and an angry-faced Cubone is staring right at them, extending the bone she holds in her hands. "Is this your version of the duel glove?" the young student wonders out loud, shaking her head, then grinning, "nevermind that. Let's take you on! Shadow Ball!"[break]

It takes a while of back and forth, but eventually, Vespa finds an opening to throw a safari ball while looking at the clock of her phone, "phew ... we'll be back just in time for dinner. Good job - let's wrap this battle up another time, though!"
