Even finds a break in the canopy and looks up. Judging by the sunlight he's past the heat of the day and yet somehow... it feels so hot. It's been growing too the more they walk in the direction and it's starting to get to him. He feels like he may not have enough water on him. The explanation has got to be a pokemon, the question is just what one?

They come across it and Evan is struck by its image. It's one of those pokemon that he can't help but take a moment to admire before confronting. So many of them are worthy of more than they're given by human and he feels this may just be a hidden gem amongst the bug type pokemon. He's only caught sight of it once or twice before.

Heat comes off it in wave after wave and decides to make a move before it gets to them too hard.

"Hold it, stun it, strike it down." the munna uses his telekinesis to take hold of the pokemon mid dance, giving his cottonee a chance to shower it with stun spores in the hopes of slowing it down and adds a dash of poison powder while he has the chance. The growing buzzing sound coming from the pokemon becomes a deafening crescendo that makes his pokemon flinch, the munna lets go letting the pokemon has some wiggle room, onlykept from doing much by the paralysis in the stun spores. His Mimikyu seems unbothered as her disguise rattles on her body, taking the chance while she can to strike the bug with a shadowy claw. The buzzing breaks in a sharp cry and evan covers his ears against the noise.

They react quick, shadow sneak grabs and pulls the pokemon to the ground while the psychic energies coming off his munna spread out into the are, wirling and building before they strike it down.

He tosses a ball. He's going to have to be real nice to this one later.

The group pauses. Her disguise is broken and the mimikyu will not leave the are without repairing it and they all know it. Habit dictates that the males of the party stand in a line with their backs to her out of respect. Something Evan has done much to instill in the group as a whole.

Evan whistles a tune and eventually the other two chime in with their own ways of participating while they wait for her. It's not the first nor the last time this scene will occur amongst him and his team. They seem to start getting a little into it even, not noticing the buzzing sound that starts chiming in with them from a wild bug pokemon. At least not until it starts to bother their ears and Meg, with her newly repaired disguise perks up as the only one not getting bugged by it.

Until her disguise starts to rattle again.

Her double team brings her in close to the pokemon to follow it up with a play rough, the pokemon is startled because it doesn't quite seem to realize its harming the others and her disguise busts again as the pokemon break out of its bug buzz. Almost instantly it tries talking to her, startling as her shadow grows out from under it, intimidating and threatening. They talk, meg furious and the wild pokemon apologetic until meg picks it up with her shadow and throws the pokemon at Evan's feet to apologize to him.

At least that's what he takes from the scene he watches, and given the nodding of the other two he assumes that's what happens. "No worries dude, it was fun until it hurt." he rubs an ear, still feeling the ache from the reverberation. "Could try it again some time if you come with, yah know?" he offers the pokemon a pokeball, and it seems happy to hop in it at the promise of another music session.

the sweetest of scents drifts into range as they walk. Evan was busy inspecting a tree, looking up to find his pokemon wandering away from him and he hurries to catch up and determine the cause. His pokemon seem content to huddle themselves in the therapeutic and sweet smells that are enveloping the area. Though he can see the appeal he can't help but wonder what the source is. He doesn't notice the small pokemon that is causing any of it for awhile, leaving him to watch and try to nudge his own pokemon out of it.

And then the little creature lands on his nose and nudges him with its little hands. Evan recognizes it as one of the cutest pokemon he has ever encountered in the past. A trainer had one and he had been quietly smitten since.

"Well look at you, aren't you the cutest thing." he reaches up a finger to pet the little thing and is rewarded with the tiniest of little trills and he just sits there awhile, content to enjoy the moment. After all, he ought to take a good memeory or two home with him today too right?

After awhile he fishes out a pokeball and offers it, the little bug clambers onto it with a trill and he's happy to catch her in it. This one he'll be keeping for sure.

He stumbles across a stream and kneels to fill his water bottle. It's pure and clean and he imagines it's a side effect of a pokemon in the area keeping it clean. Evan takes a moment to enjoy the sound of the water. It's soothing and calm and he can't help but feel at ease about it.

It also makes it easy for him and his pokemon to fall victim to the pokemon in the water. Swimming near shore but bellow the water. His grass type spots it first and trills but it makes itself known before the others can register. Hopping up in the water to create a giant splash, soaking Evan and his other pokemon. It fall on its back laughing as it floats away from the bank and Evan is left to try and swipe water droplets off his face.

"Get back here!" a cupped hand swoops through the water and splashes the pokemon, it's quick to retort with another splash and his psychic type uses his powers to scoop a large amount of water and loom it overhead of the wild pokemon. "Vince!" he drops it and the munna laughs at his own genius. The armaldo surfaces with a ferocious splash at the pink pokemon and Evan leaves it to them to enjoy their fun for a bit, busying himself with removing and wringing out his now soaked shirt.

The munna uses its psychic to pull a ball out of Evan's bag and hover it in front of him. He takes it with a knowing nod. While the pokemon is distracted he throws the ball.

He doesn't even really see them do it, his pokemon are so in the swing of things by now they do it without him having to tell them.

The mimikyu and the munna bring the pokemon down, psychic energies and sneaking shadows pinning it where it can be more easily brought to a standstill by his cottonee, showering it with poison powder and stunning spores.

It's not until he turns at their cries that he sees the bug has been taken to the ground while he's watching a joltik weave its web. He's not sure its a good thing, his pokemon can be a bit excitable and should they get overzealous... well he'll deal with that bring when they cross it he supposes.

He throws a pokeball none the less.

"Isn't that guy a little.... big for that type of bug?" he looked at the cottonee who like the rest of his companions was staring up at the bug in the tree that was almost falling off as his little legs tried to carry him across the branch. It was fat already and heading for even more leaves to eat and evan could only imagine how much the pokemon had already eaten.

Self conscious he stared down at his own stomach, exposed after his tank top grew too wet to put back on, he was waiting for it to dry.

He looks back up. "i don't think I could eat as much as we've watched this guy eat." it had been awhile. The bug just kept going from tree to tree finding things to eat and he was flabbergasted at how much room its stomach seemed to have.

Evan turned to leave and the munna stopped him in his tracks with it psychic. They hadn't caught one of these yet and the munna had gotten the idea of what they were doing well enough to know they should take this one with them too. "I don't want to have to feed it." he protested and the munna did not let him go.

"Fine."

The routine was familiar and evan covered his eyes, they had the pokemon out of the tree and pinned in short order. He refused to look, turning around and tossing the ball over his shoulder instead.

He leaves his pokemon behind for a moment while he scopes out the forest paths in front of them and calls for them to catch up, not noticing the extra that joins them as they move to follow him.

They make it a ways through the forest down a path that catches Evan's eye. It isn't until another wild pokemon pops out ot attack that they notice their extra. the sparks of electricity that soar past them from the back of the pack surprising everyone as they turn to the little bug that has joined them.

It makes some sort of noise in greeting and Evan and the rest wave in return.

They continue walking, thanking their little friend and assuming it wishes to be on its way.

It does not, the bug continues to follow, it even joins them whey stop for a snack. If it's so determined well..

He offers it a pokeball. It seems friendly enough.
