[attr="class","cmonbody"] A sneering Snivy made its presence known. Appearing from a small hill above Dallas. It stood with a presence as if it owned the safari, and Dallas was just one of the many peasants that had entered his land.

“What a little shit,” Dallas said glaring back. Hearing the words, the Snivy jumped down to Dallas. A vine appearing from its tail as it used Vine Whip on the blond.

“Woah what the-“ His words were cut off by the crack of the whip against his arm. A cry of pain escaped him as the Snivy grinned and snapped its vine at him again.

“Hawks, toast this snake.” A Pokeball was thrown from his pocket. Fletchinder appearing in the air and following the command with no hesitance. Peppering the Snivy with Ember from above. The grass type was easily damaged by the flames as it now tried to crack its Vine Whip at the bird.

“Finish it.” Hawk nodded to Dallas as her body was engulfed in flame. Snivy’s eyes widened in horror as it was swiftly struck down with Flame Charge.

“So full of itself and it got taken out in no time.” Dallas scoffed, yet found himself pulling out a Pokeball to capture the Snivy.

Someone needed to teach it some manners, so why not himself?

[attr="class","cmonbody"]It wasn’t long after the first capture that another Pokémon appeared. Although, this one didn’t try to attack Dallas immediately. Instead, it tried to hide in the tall grass nearby and watch Dallas. Follow him when he moved and stop when he stopped.

The stalking Gible was young and inexperienced, so noticing its presence did not take Dallas long. He decided to play along for a bit. Returning Hawks to her Pokeball.

After ten minutes whole minutes, the Gible made its move. Springing out from behind a tree, letting out a war cry as it gently bit the back of Dallas’ leg with its wide jaw.

The man could not help but laugh as it nibbled him. This was the cutest shit ever. He held out a Pokeball while gently prying the little dragon off of him.

“Come with me, little guy.” Was all he said as he gently tapped the Pokeball against the Gible’s head. It seemed excited about the idea. Maybe it just thought it would be easier to try and gently bite the man to death under the guise of being his Pokémon.

[attr="class","cmonbody"]One ball left. Dallas had been worried he would struggle to find any Pokemon here, but they were practically queuing up for him. Speaking of, another had appeared before him. This time a Yungoos. An Alolan Pokemon? Damn, this safari was fancy.

As Dallas walked over, the mongoose-like Pokemon turned to face him. Staring him down with its naturally menacing face. Teeth bared and all. Dallas offered a friendly smile in return. The standard for catching was usually to beat the shit out of it until it was weak enough to capture. Gible had been one of the few times Dallas hadn’t followed that ‘procedure’.

“Instead of the whole fighting thing how about you just join the wonderful team of Dallas Rhodes?” Yungoos tilted its head as it tried to understand what was happening. A simple offer to join rather than a battle?

“As a fellow blond, I feel you’ll fit in perfectly.” He displayed the one safari ball he had left.

“Not got much time left in here before the warden gives me the boot.” He looked toward the treeline. Just over it was the rest of Hoenn.

“You’re not from here. If you come with me though you can have freedom. See Hoenn. Although I’m not if it’s as cool as Alola, it has its own charm.”

Dallas pressed the safari ball to the Yungoos’ head. Curious after the man’s words, it allowed it. Albeit apprehensively. The safari ball wiggled as it decided on whether or not it wanted to be a part of this trainers team.
