At first, a shadow passes overhead. What looks like wings make her shadow elongated and awkward, granting Emma's shadow the power of flight for only a moment, causing her to glance up and over her shoulder in curiosity. Whatever had been flying above her head had disappeared, only to reappear in her face as she turned back to face the direction she was walking.[break][break]

With a gasp, she finds herself being face-mauled by a very friendly Gligar, who's tongue would lol outside of his mouth and his pinchers would grab at her hair and cheeks. Hades' warning growl would sound off, indicating his discomfort at this. Part of him wished to lunge at the creature attacking his master, but self-control would prevent him from potentially harming Emma in the process.[break][break]

Emma instead would handle the beast herself, prying him off of her face and chest and holding him out in front of her with disgust and irritation.

"I have no interest in a clingy youngling."[break][break]

She moves on, but the Gligar persists. It swoops in close to encourage the Lycanroc to attack, taunting into combat. Hades, ever the gullible and short-tempered, falls for the trick. However, every time the rock-type Pokemon gets close enough to snatch it, the Gligar u-turns away, following up with an x-scissor that, although harmless, continues to pester and annoy the brute.[break][break]

Emma, not at all the patient type, decides that she'd rather not spend more time trying to chase off the Gligar and instead attempts to catch it.[break][break]

Crashing out of the bushes nearby, a distinctly green baby dinosaur bellows and squeals. For whatever reason, it appears to be full of piss and vinegar and ready to throw down. It's constant uproar is loud as hell, causing Emma to clap her hands over her ears and wince.[break][break]

Taking advantage of this, the Deino makes good use of it's heightened sense of smell to body slam into Hades, throwing the Lycanroc off off balance and crashing into the dirt. The Deino closes the distance easily, tromping through the grass and kicking up dirt. Her mouth opens to clamp down hard on the Lycanroc's tail, causing the canine to howl in pain and rage.[break][break]

"Are you going to sit back and let it bully you, Hades? I thought you were better than that."[break][break]

Emma hisses her insult, clearly irritated by her Pokemon's lack of action. Embarrassed and enraged by this humiliating situation, Hades lunges back after the Deino, seizing it in his teeth and crunching down hard. He thrashes his head back and forth, tossing the abused Deino to the side. Before it can get back on its feet, he causes a rock slide, trapping the tiny baby dragon.[break][break]

"Finally. That was embarrassing."[break][break]

She sighs wearily, throwing another safari ball at the curiously aggressive Pokemon. Were all Deino this terribly aggressive and nasty? The one she had was just as territorial and mean.[break][break]

Another shadow passes over and Emma tenses, prepared to encounter yet another annoying and childish Gligar. Fortunately, the mysterious shape of a Murkrow passes overhead without a hitch. The bird seems to have something else on his mind as he rejoins his flock of friends. [break][break]

For a time, as she continues wandering through the Safari with Hades, all she can hear is the incessant chatter and crowing of several Murkrow.[break][break]

As a result, Emma makes a sharp left to leave the murder of crows behind.[break][break]

There's a rustle in the brush to their right and Hades reacts immediately, a warning growl rumbling past his lips, fangs bared.[break][break]

Emma hesitates, a curious psychic energy blasting through the bushes as a very brightly-coloured Fennekin crashes into sight. He's a spitfire, a mind-game champion. He's already done his job of confusing and rattling her Lycanroc, stealing the berry he had grabbed not too long ago in his attack.[break][break]

Lycanroc whines, distress evident in the way he can't seem to keep his eyes on the speedy bastard. Before long, however, the Fennekin runs off, chuckling under his breath as he holds the stolen goods between his teeth. [break][break]

"You're disappointing me, Hades."[break][break]

Her statement is made plain as she brushes past him to continue onward. The Lycanroc flattens his ears and averts his eyes, glancing back after the trickster for a moment before defeatedly following his trainer.[break][break]

The distinct sound of howling is what draws Emma's attention. The sound is unnerving, the type of sound that would send a shiver of terror down anyone's spine. Even the ex Rocket beast shivers before turning to follow.[break][break]

Hades breaks into a sprint in front of her which urges the woman to give chase. Just up ahead, several young Houndour can be seen stumbling and tumbling over one another. Emma, ever the heartless one, isn't afraid to steal what she needs.[break][break]

"Hades, fetch."[break][break]

She gives her order firmly, and the Lycanroc lunges forward with a snarl, weedling out what he deems to be the strongest pup. The Houndour barely stands a chance against his strength and speed, the puppy's youth causing him to writhe in terror and be unable to effectively use his flamethrower.[break][break]

The puppy does, however, manage to sink his teeth into Hades' paw just as the Pokemon turns to face Emma, waiting for her to round up their new companion. Emma grabs the pup by the scruff of his neck, roughly turning him this way and that to inspect. She narrows her eyes as he nips and barks at her, his voice tiny and pathetic.[break][break]

"You'll do."[break][break]

She pulls another safari ball with the intent to catch the Houndour in it before turning to face Lycanroc again.[break][break]

"Let's keep moving, we're not finished yet."[break][break]

The pair continue on, Emma's hands stuffed into her jacket pockets. She looks bored and listless, waiting for something to appear.[break][break]

There's a creepy croak and a splash that comes from a nearby pool, and as she glances over she sees beady eyes rise from the surface of the water. With a spring, a curl of weird hair splashes water as the Politoed's single strand of hair springs up.[break][break]

Lycanroc masks his fear at the water-type Pokemon and it's inevitable ability to probably drown him if given the chance, moving to the opposite side of Emma. She scoffs, noticing this, but doesn't otherwise give the wild Pokemon much notice.[break][break]
