What Thomas didn't notice earlier, while overseeing drills, was that his guest came out to watch. Accompanying her was Petunia, the more artistic of the little family he amassed. The flowers she piled up would serve a purpose, but before she could really get to doing her thing, Bunni came bursting out of the sanctuary, racing past them, to get their master. Petunia looked worried, but ultimately stayed behind with the others.

"We're about to find out.", Thomas remarked, before cautiously opening the doors to the playhouse he built.

Inside, three Audino would be huddled back, clearly scared out of their wits. The culprit, a storage drawer that normally housed various supplies for the care of the little ones, was rattling violently. Cobalt immediately scanned the area again, strangely finding no aura to speak of coming from the drawer.

"It's okay, little ones, I'm here now.", he reassured them, with Bunni immediately taking up the big sister role, and escorting the others out of the small building.

Normally, this would be the work of Tyce, the Sableye having a fondness for messing with the other Pokemon living on the ranch. But considering that the Sableye was directly with Thomas, that was obviously not the case, at least not this time. Thomas would cautiously approach the case, Cobalt walking in lockstep with his master. Whether Eden would join him in examining the rattling container would be up to her.

A hand grabbed one of the five Pokeballs from his belt. If it was a ghost, then he'd need a Pokemon that could more adequately combat them, as Cobalt had little in the way of options to handle them. At best, he could draw aggro, while his Ghost or Dark-type would go in for the proverbial kill.

"Yep. Cobalt here didn't pick up any aura coming from the drawer, so unless someone rigged it to fuck with me, it's a Ghost.", Thomas told her.

As Thomas and Cobalt approached the drawer, the duo would hear an ethereal voice coming from the drawer, as if piercing directly into their heads. It asked them a strange question: a choice between red or blue. Thomas blinked, surprised by this. He had never encountered anything like this from a Ghost-type before. At the same time, the voice he heard sounded so off, something he couldn't quite put his finger on.

"I'll let you make this call.", Thomas told her, a finger ready to tap the mechanism of the Pokeball he had on hand.

Much to Thomas' surprise, a ring opened above the drawer, before ejecting a Glaceon, and closing. The rattling of the drawer stopped with it. Thomas looked to Cobalt, who looked just as surprised as Thomas. He had to wonder what it was that caused this to happen, because unless this was some sort of special Glaceon, there was no way the creature caused this. The fact that Cobalt immediately picked up its aura upon arrival, and feeling how terrified it was, it made it clear that the Glaceon was a victim of the machinations of whatever caused the scare.

Cobalt stepped in front of the two humans, coming between them, and the Glaceon. He could feel that the creature was going to attack. The Ice Shard it launched was blocked by the steely jackal, who winced, but was otherwise fine. But before the Glaceon could further attack, or Cobalt could retaliate, the group of Audino burst in, lead by Bunni. The four Audino immediately started to blast the Glaceon with Heal Pulses, in an effort to calm down the Ice-type.

While Pulse, Avery, and Audrey were concentrating on calming down the Glaceon, Bunni turned to Cobalt, giving the Lucario a Heal Pulse, before going to join her little brothers and little sister in attempting to calm the Glaceon.

Thomas would turn to their guest. "You okay?", he'd ask her.

"To be honest, I was gonna ask if you wanted a Glaceon.", he'd remark.

The Audino would begin to lead the Glaceon away from the sanctuary. They'd take the Pokemon to an area of the Ranch where Ice-types would reside in comfort, a place designed to simulate an icy cavern. While Hoenn was not an appropriate Region for most Ice-types, given its tropical climate, Thomas at least did his best to make those under his care as comfortable as possible, and if this Glaceon was joining his family, then it would be no exception.

He couldn't help but wonder if Max and Penumbra would appreciate the new friend.

"You ever see anything like that?", Thomas asked the blonde.

Not long afterward, Petunia would come back into the sanctuary, this time with a crown of flowers in her hands. The Audino would hand the newly made crown to Eden. If she were to accept, the Audino would offer the woman a hug. Thomas couldn't help but smile. "Petunia here loves to make accessories and souvenirs for guests, so if your Pokemon would like something made for them, she'd be more than happy to do so.", Thomas told her, with the Audino crying out happily and nodding in response.
