What better place to find some water type pokemon then in the middle of the ocean? Izaak had been needing to add a fourth pokemon to his team for awhile now so the young man decided to explore around the wreckage of Sea Mauville. The half sunken ship always seem kind of interesting to him but alas he never worked up the courage to actually explore the inside of the ship. Perhaps one day he'd be able to go inside. [break][break]

For today's little journey Izaak was perfectly fine with just sticking to the water near the sunken ship. He couldn't get too close to the dilapidated boat at the moment purely due to how he was in the ocean. Currently Izaak was sitting on the back of his Wailord who drifted through the water. The Wailord wasn't actually entirely above the surface as of yet, it was underwater just barely enough to keep Izaak nice and dry on its back above the water.[break][break]

Taking a bite out of the sandwich Izaak brought along as a snack the white haired man looked around the water from the back of his stupidly large pokemon, trying to spot any interesting water types.[break][break]

Izaak wasn't really sure how long he was relaxing on the back of his Wailord before a pokemon in the water had actually caught his attention. The ride was pretty relaxing and with how big Wailord was he never really felt like he was in danger of falling off into the water and ruining his lunch. If he was on a smaller pokemon and not paying attention that could be bad but with Wailord he could just zone out and enjoy himself. What actually caught his attention was the sight of a brightly colored fish in the water near his Wailord.[break][break]

With his interest raised by the colorful pokemon the young man stood up on the back of his Wailord and walked over near the edge, the actual walking not even phasing the gigantic pokemon in the slightest. Leaning over slightly Izaak was greeted with the sight of what seemed to be a Bruxish swimming along next to them. While the pokemon seemed kind of neat he wasn't too interested in it personally.[break][break]

Though at least the wild pokemon didn't seem to be disturbed by their presence or too aggressive. Ripping off a piece of his sandwich Izaak tossed the ham and cheese confection into the water near the Bruxish before going back to where he was sitting on Wailord before.[break][break]

Riding around on the back of a Wailord was surprisingly comfortable to be honest, it wasn't too much longer until Izaak had accidentally dozed off on the large pokemons back. The poor precious sandwich falling out of his hand and onto the Wailord's back. At least there weren't any condiments or anything else messy to leak out onto the pokemon as he took a impromptu nap.[break][break]

On the bright side he wasn't out for too long before some water from a nearby pokemon splashed up far enough on the Wailord's back to actually wake up Izaak. Sitting up quickly the boy began wiping the water from his face as he looked around to try to find the culprit. Unfortunately he didn't see any pokemon nearby that might of done it on purpose, it was probably just something jumping around in the water.[break][break]

Grumbling a bit as he stood up and stretched Izaak took one more look around before leaning down and picking up the remains of the sandwich. It had only gotten a bit wet from the sudden splash but he wasn't really fond of eating things with saltwater on them. Moving to the edge of the Wailord again he looked out into the water before noticing a lily pad floating alongside of them.[break][break]

Already knowing that it was probably a Lotad or its evolution and not a normal lily pad Izaak leaned over and gently placed the sandwich on the pokemon's lily pad head. A parting gift as he continued on his way through the water.[break][break]

Without a sandwich to nibble away at Izaak didn't have much else to do as he rode around on the giant pokemon's back. For awhile he simply whistled a tune as he drifted through the water, Izaak didn't really plan to be out here this long and didn't bring much else to do besides eat. On the bright side it wasn't too much longer until he came across another pokemon.[break][break]

At the sight of a pokemon hanging out on top of a rock the boy couldn't help but quietly become really excited, it was a Primarina! The pokemon was one that Izaak had always hoped to stumble across and add to his team one day but with it being a starter in another region he never really thought the chance would arise. And yet there was a wild one right there in front of him.[break][break]

Racing to the edge of his Wailord Izaak waved at the other Pokemon before sending out his Mareanie into the water across from the pokemon, the Primarina makign its way into the water as well. If he wanted to capture it he'd probably have to go through a battle and Mareanie seemed like the best choice with its array of poison moves. [break][break]

Already trying to dig out an empty pokeball he cried out a command of "Toxic!" He of course had a plan for this battle, he was going to weaken the pokemon as much as he could with one shot and then try to capture it. Toxic was just step one of the plan. As it became poisoned the Primarina retaliated with a swift hyper voice attack, the sheer force of its voice driving the Mareanie to take shelter underwater for a few moments.[break][break]

With an empty ball clutched in his hand Izaak waited for his pokemon to resurface before issuing the second command, "Alright, Venoshock!" Spinning around in the water Mareanie pointed the spike on the top of its head at the wild pokemon before firing off a purple liquid that coated the Primarina, causing the other pokemon to recoil back against the rock. Venoshock of course doing even more damage since it was already poisoned. [break][break]

Not wanting to make the wild pokemon suffer the poison for long Izaak dove into the water and swam right up next to the pain-stricken Primarina before tapping it with the pokeball in an attempt to capture it.[break][break]
