Houston got in good and close, the water at its waist as it punched the massive crustacean when a good jab. There was no giving it away, they had to win this one and @monty’s enthusiasm was giving Caius butterflies.

After the punch the clawitizer was staggered, but not out. It shot back with a water pulse and knocked the Machamp back, just before the shadow ball would fire. Houston was well out of the way and the attack hit dead on connecting and taking out the water type effectively.

The battle was over and once Dallas’ flamethrower subsided the other water Pokemon saw their leader’s body afloat in the water. Had the battle been over Caius fell back on his butt and laid in the sand. As big as he was he was still feeling the attack but he’d live to fight another day. "Ahaha." he could only laugh, it felt like they won.

Monty was so proud of both of his pokemon, and he showed as much by excitedly running up and gripping the claydol in a hug. Now, claydol's aren't comfortable, so it wasn't like the hug lasted too long. It seemed as if Chasm appreciated the hug, twisting its body and letting out some form of frequency to show its happiness.

As he approached Gala, he gave her a kiss very carefully to the bulb of a head in the middle of her candelabras. Once, he was finished praising them, he returned them to their respective premier and luxury balls before making his way over to Caius. He leaned his head over, hovering over Caius'.

"Do you need to go to the Pokemon Center, Caius? That looked like a pretty solid hit."

He even extended his hand down to 'help' the giant up. Though if Caius tried to actually lift himself with Monty's weight he'd end up pulling Monty atop him... Monty didn't think that through though, oops.

He was sore but he was happy, they won the battle for sure and the smaller Pokemon seemed to give up in the face of their leader’s defeat. Caius may have lost the trash battle but that battle made up for it.

When Monty came into view his smile widened and he laughed away the notion of going to a Pokemon center, “I’ll live, it’ll take more than a little Pokemon to take me down.” he sat up and reached for Monty’s hand. Sadly for Monty gravity wasn’t on his side. Caius had found himself on his back again, this time, the green hair was ontop of him.

Caius looked into Monty’s exotic pink hues for what felt like hours, for it likely to only have been seconds. He hadn’t ever looked at Monty so close, normally he just saw him as a strong trainer but here... There was something different.

“Uh, sorry.” he nervously chuckled. What on earth could he have said? It was an accident right? “I uh, I guess I'm a bit heavy.”

Hindsight was twenty-twenty and Monty was starting to think perhaps he should stop offering to help up anybody but children. And even some children would prove to result in this similar situation.

"Just slightly. I expected you to take my hand for comfort, not to actually try and have me pull you up, you stupid lug."

So perhaps embarrassed Monty is a spitfire of a thing. But either way, he's laughing while he insults Caius, showing it's all in good sport. For Monty, Caius looks no different than most people he falls on. Though, as his hands rest on Caius' chest to use it to push himself up off of Caius, he realizes the muscular physique and suddenly realizes perhaps this position is suggestive.

"Let's just go get ice cream."

There's no stammer in his words but there's sure as hell a stammer in the way he eyes Caius after getting up and off of the beefy blonde. He clears his throat and wipes himself of any sand that might've been a good excuse to use not to look at Caius anymore.

It was weird. Caius didn’t like it. @monty was distracting him, his mind being toyed with by a mere look into their eyes. Maybe he was just hungry, he always felt strange on an empty stomach. Then again, as odd as he felt he liked having them on top of him. He wasn’t sure what he meant by that, and the universe knew he would never admit it outloud but he was thankful it happened maybe? Life was weird. [break][break]

Their eyes looked down at him, Caius’ eyes returning a bewildered gander of their own. He’d freeze again, looking at the other trainer as they adjusted themselves. Caius would get up as well, seeming to have forgotten the pain in his chest in the moments they were so close. [break][break]

“Wait, does that mean I won?” he asked as he followed behind Monty, “Oh and what about the water Pokemon? We can’t just leave him out right? He might attack people again.” The Pokemon was a distraction from his rapid fire mind but he remembered the disdain Monty had shown it. Caius couldn’t pin it down, maybe it was because it tried to attack him? Or maybe they didn’t like water types. Whatever the reason they may as well have done something about it.

Oh, Caius has a good point. This territorial beast would likely try to defend the beach again in the future if left alone. Without much thought, Monty took a dive ball from his bag and tossed it at the clawitzer. It thumped against the shrimp before sucking the crustacean within.

”I’ll either find a use for it, or a home.”

It was annoying he had to waste a poke all on it, but oh well.
