[break][break] Once upon a time, in a land far away from the Hoenn region, a little girl lived in her forest home peacefully with her mother and father. She was a quiet child, rarely talking unless she absolutely needed too, much to her parents' apparent worry. She rarely talked at school to her classmates, didn't have any apparent friends her age, and spent most of her time running off deep in the woods seemingly all alone, playing by herself. Despite their worry, she always seemed to come home safe and sound, each and every single night, with a soft smile on her face. In fact, it started to appear rather obvious that one of the only times she was happy was when she came back from one of her trips from the wood. Unsure what to do, and trusting that she was safe, they let it continue even as she grew older. [break][break] Every single night, the little girl would run off into the woods with a soft smile on her face, coming back with an even wider smile. She never spoke of what she saw or did, only saying she had fun and that she was now hungry or tired. She did start to grow a tad bit more social when she reached her early teens, talking with a few friends she had made at school, but she always seemed to enjoy talking in hushed whispers. She never yelled, nor acted out. Of course, for every other parent, it would have been a dream, but for a pair of extremely active and outgoing parents, they were still quite concerned with their daughter's odd silence. [break][break] It wasn't until one night where they discovered their little girl's most well-kept secret that everything seemed to fall into place. One night when the moon was full while her parents were anxiously waiting for her to return, they were surprised and shocked to see their little girl walking back at the very edge of the woods, holding the hand from the hat of a pokemon known as the Forest Witch. It explained everything. The quiet nature, why she'd keep running off into the woods alone, why she refused to talk about where she went, she had never been alone in the first place. The little, quiet girl had befriended the witch and she was worried to lose her friend.[break][break] The very next night, the little girl was surprised to find her parents were oddly supportive of her heading out, a massive shift from almost everything she had expected from them. It wasn't until they revealed the empty Pokeball and handed it to her without a word that it all slowly clicked into place. She didn't know how they knew about her friend, but she definitely understood what they were suggesting. With that, she ran out of the house with a huge smile on her face.[break][break] The little girl came running home shouting in happiness, her excitement extremely audible as she practically danced and spun around the front yard of her home, holding the Pokeball in her arms. She was never afraid of losing her friend ever again and her joy was positively infectious. The parents never worried about their little girl ever again.
