this is what he gets for trying to run a gps in a place where the connection was absolute shit. lost in what looked like the seediest place he could ever be while also looking like a thug that would crawl out of here. at the very least he looked like the meanest mofo around so being mugged was probably the least of his worries.

"c'mon...work dammnit." large fingers kept refreshing the app on his phone in the vain hopes that the thing would actually point him in the right direction. he didn't feel like navigating in the dark especially since some of the street lights were flickering on and off. as he decided to reset his phone all together something caught his attention out from the corner of his eyesight. looking up from his booting phone shinra could make something out under a streetlight that kept going on and off. a shadow of sorts that was just kind of standing there;

menacingly.

"hey hey hey! settle down!" shinra's screams were ignored as the Nidorino pounced on him and began sniffing his person furiously. this was totally not how he wanted this wild encounter to pan out. after all it was just standing there looking like a serial killer! what was he supposed to think?!

to give it credit however it was possible that it was going to kill him with how heavy it was as it started to dig under his shirt for whatever it was looking for. "whoa personal space please! the struggle to push it off was too real and all that moving around knocked loose a few balls from his belt, one of them popping open to reveal dante the incineroar who did not enjoy waking up via his ball bouncing around on the floor as apparent by the yawning and stretching he was doing.

"hey a little hel-hahahaha not there puh-puh-please!" the cries of his trainer broke the drowsy spell on the large cat as he turned around and looked over his helpless trainer and the strange Pokemon. with a grunt of effort dante pulled the beast off of his trainer, a bag of poffins in its mouth as it was held in the big cat's arms. that...that's what ya wanted? coulda asked y'know." shinra said through bated breathes as he collected his dropped pokeballs off the floor and took another look at the creature. "y'know...we could use someone who can barrel over guys like me. how 'bout a deal? you help us and i'll give ya more poffins?" the nidorino looked at shinra with sparkles in its eyes and let out a grunt of approval.

with that shinra tapped the ball lightly against the beast's nose.
