Dopey could actually move pretty fast when he augmented his speed with his psychic powers. Perhaps maybe not fast by human standards, but decently fast for Slowbro. He walked after Sarah and Sigmund, keeping up at full speed.[break][break]

"Festival? Ummm... yeah," Sarah answered Sigmund. She hadn't put much thought into the festival and the main reason she was going was to spend time with Sigmund. Going to a crowded place with all kinds of people did not sound as nice as an evening at home after all this travel. Still, the festival was a limited, special-time event. It wasn't like they could go in a week.[break][break]

Sigmund was right. That Manectric was charging straight toward Dopey. It was just Sarah's luck that they were now being attacked by two electric type pokemon. Morpeko and Manectric. Sarah had never seen a pokemon like Manectric before, but she had read a little bit about them. She knew that they were more known as special attackers than physical attackers, but how that would come into play here was left to be seen. [break][break]

Emolga seemed to be handling itself well against the bullet seed, but that made sense... the one who really needed attention was Dopey.[break][break]

"Dopey, tank it with your shell!" The Slowbro augmented its speed with its psychic powers allowing it to take two steps at what most would consider an "average" speed to replace himself behind his shell. The Manectric rammed head first into the shell, shocking Dopey enough for him to groan aloud, but otherwise handling it well. The Manectric certainly took recoil damage after having rammed head first into Slowbro's shell.[break][break]

"Good job, Dopey! Now, use Disable!" Slowbro complied, cutting off Manectric from its electric power.

With Disable having been used, the Manectric would no longer be able to attack her with its physical electric type moves. Sarah was well aware this didn't solve all of her problems thoguh. Manectric still had the ability to come out her with other moves, and more dangerously, electric type moves. That said, Sarah had a way around those as well, or at least a way to protect herself to the best of her ability. Sarah watched as the Manectric began to power up another attack.. her stomach dropped, because she knew if it hit, unless she was facing a low level Manectric, this could cause a lot of damage.[break][break]

The attack missed, just barely, leaving Dopey standing there in a dopey gaze. He was just as surprised that the attack had missed.[break][break]

"Great luck there," Sarah said to her pokemon. "Now, use Amnesia!"[break][break]

It was just what they needed to turn the tide of battle. Dopey washed away his worries and fears and used a psychic energy to convert them into strength. Now it would be hard for the Manectric to do significant damage, and this would soon be proven as the pokemon attacked with another electric attack.[break][break]

The Slowbro grimmaced, but it stood its ground well.[break][break]

"Great job, Dopey! Use Slack off!" The Slowbro obeyed its trainer, closing its eyes as its health regenerated. All the while, the Manectric continued shooting away its electric attacks at Dopey. "Amnesia again!"[break][break]

The situation continued. Followed by another slack off, and soon the Slowbro's special defense and hp were high enough that electric attacks did virtually nothing.[break][break]

"Now, finish things with a Psychic attack!" Sarah roared. Slowbro complied. It used its psychic powers to throw around the Manectric. Sarah then pulled out a pokeball swiftly, tossing it at the Manectric. "Now, you'll join my team!"[break][break]

Previously, Sarah hadn't thought much about whether she wanted to catch the pokemon, but once she had seen Sigmund go ahead and attempt a capture on the Morpeko, she realized she may as well do the same.[break][break]

The ball collided with the pokemon, absorbing it into the ball as a bright red energy.[break][break]

Sigmund's short-lived kiss was quick to end, because Just after he had kissed her they were attacked by a Zebstrika. There were so many pokemon here that were not only of the electric type, but also of species Sarah hadn't seen in person much. She hadn't known quite how diverse the pokemon of the Hoenn region really were, but now she was beginning to think Johto didn't even compare. [break][break]

Sarah stood back as Sigmund and his Quagsire went to battle. Quagsire, on the other hand, was a pokemon that Sarah was very familiar with. Her father was a pretty decent trainer back in Johto, after all, and he had his own Quagsire that he often liked to use, although not as much as his starter pokemon, Slowking.[break][break]

But even while Sigmund was battling, another pokemon appeared, gazing at her cheerfully from a few feet away. This one looked eerily similar to Sigmund's Emolga, however with different color scheme and a super large tail. It was a Pachirisu. Given that Sigmund seemed so busy battling, Sarah decided she may as well make an attempt. Sigmund seemed to love his Emolga, after all, and Pachirisu was pretty similar. Still, this Pachirisu didn't look like it was going to attack.[break][break]

Without battling, but with Dopey still standing present, Sarah picked out a pokeball. She tossed it at the friendly-looking Pachirisu, throwing the ball as a capture attempt.

Two more pokemon soon appeared, and Sigmund was quick to act on it, sending out his Cyndaquil, also known as Laiger. Eruption was a powerful attack that could hit multiple opponents at once. You didn't have to be a genius to know that would do a lot of damage to the steel type pokemon. Sigmund had taken control of the situation so swiftly that Sarah didn't quite have time to react to it. She was actually quite surprised by Sigmund's actions here. She stood slightly behind his shoulder.[break][break]

"Wow, two at once.." Sarah said. She thought he would follow up by catching the pokemon, however he didn't, and instead told her to lob another pokeball. "Magneton is super cool!... but I'm starting to run out..." [break][break]

Nonetheless, Magneton was the perfect pokemon, from Sarah's point of view. She definitely wanted to catch it, so she reached down and gripped a pokeball, and just as soon as she had done this, she tossed it at the Magneton, the ball opening and absorbing the injured magnet monster.[break][break]

"I hope this one catches.." Sarah said. "We need to get out of here soon though. I think we're disturbing too many of the electric pokemon here."
